I know Mitch McConnell said today that he'd vote for him if he's the nominee. Lindsey Graham has implied he won't. David Jolly called for Trump to drop out of the race today, which would imply to me that he doesn't plan on voting for him.

Have any major Republicans explicitly said they will not vote for Trump should he be nominated?

A month ago, I would have said most would have come around ... after his latest comment on banning Muslims, I'm not so sure.  If he's the nominee, Republicans in swing and blue states very well might not endorse him (ala moderates with Goldwater in '64).

I feel like more and more Republicans are turning against Trump. Also, please don't compare Trump to Goldwater. Goldwater was much saner than Trump ever will be.

today on one of the cable channels Tom Ridge said there was "not a chance" that he would vote for Trump.  I suspect quite a few wouldnt but for now they are afraid of saying that because they dont want Trump to run 3rd party.

Depends in part on whether Trump being nominated leads to a party establishment type candidate running a third party campaign.  That is, do the party elites abandon ship to set up their own 3rd party if Trump takes over the GOP?

If Trump gets nominated, it's because the modern GOP agrees with him. The establishment can do all they want to regain relevance, but they will go extinct. It will also usher in an age of Democratic majority for a long time.

Bob Dole said he would "oversleep" on voting day if Cruz were the nominee. Dole is probably voting for Hilary if Trump is the nominee.

Let's be honest here, Dole will likely not survive until election day 2016...

If only he'd let Bill Clinton pass health reform in the 90s, he'd now be in good enough shape that he could survive until Election Day 2016 and oversleep.

People are forgetting that McCain has to go through a primary. One in which he is favoured in, considering his primary opponent is some batty legislator, but I hardly think coming out swinging against the GOP nominee in a state party known to be fairly anti-immigrant is a wise strategy. I imagine a lot more gubernatorial candidates will have freedom to make a big show of being anti-Trumps - like The Vermont Moderate we are all excited about.

To be fair I don't think he compared Trump to Goldwater, he compared the possibility of some Establishment Republicans refusing to endorse the nominee with what happened in 1964.  People like Rockefeller and Romney refused to endorse anyone in 1964.

No way Senator Mark Kirk will vote for Trump. I imagine you could say the same for Dan Coats and most if not all of the senators up for reelection next year.

I'm voting Gary Johnson if Trump is the nominee. As much as I can't stand the left and Hillary, I'm never voting for Trump either. I'd be a hypocrite and bigot if I were to say I'm for religious liberty and then vote for someone who wants to keep Muslims out of the country. I like Muslims and have Muslim friends.

With that being said, I wonder who will get the voted of all these prominent Republicans who don't vote Trump if he is the nominee.
