On foreign policy, yes.  His domestic policies aren't exactly "up the middle".  If I've called out George W. Bush for Constitutional abuses in the "War on Terror", why should I give Trump a free pass?

Trump and Cruz are just using bluster to pretend they are 'strong' to hide the fact that they are actually 'weak' at least in GOP terms since they are against sending in troops, unlike most of their rivals who have called for troops. And troops in Iraq and Syria is now polling well, especially with GOPers.

The viewpoint among the far right is essentially "Bombing solves everything. Since ISIS is still not defeated, clearly Obama hasn't been bombing enough". That and "Obama cares too much about not killing civilians."
