A lot has been made about Trump's base, but I have a feeling a lot of his detractors on this forum are the ones who are degree-less at present.

I am one of the Trump fans with no degree, but let's see how the community plays out.

The United States, quite literally, has its foundations built on protectionism. It's only after World War II that free trade became a net benefit for our country (largely thanks to Cordell Hull's hatred of northern industrialism).

Yes and no. If Trump won, he'd be the Republicans' Jimmy Carter. His presidency would provide the wave needed for Democrats to win the House and the Senate, and Trump would lose in a 1984-style landslide in 2020. No Bachelor's yet, but working on it.

A college degree doesn't make a person smarter. Trump's supporters are less engaged and less informed not because they didn't go to college, but because they don't read a lot or have a good understanding of the world around them.

I guarantee most of us read more books than you do lol

Part of growing up is realizing that there are perfectly intelligent people who disagree with you.  That doesn't mean you have to respect them, or even tolerate them, but it means you should know better than to dismiss them as idiots.

Well, that's not what people say in response to the polls that show a certain demographic being strong, and there is no way you can consider people with college degrees on here "less engaged" or lacking a worldly understanding. The Trump fans on here follow the news extremely closely.
