His supporters seem to be even crazier than him sometimes.

~30% of the Republican Party, people.

Well, she got her 5 minutes of fame. I guess that's a way to get his attention.

On the plus side, high energy candidates have a tendency to attract high energy supporters.  But on the other hand, this wasn't really a 'chest' most of us were hoping for, though frankly it was for the best.

Yeah, unlike the low energy losers running for president or the low energy virgins that post on the Atlas Forum, TRUMP is not afraid of women or their bodies.

Sure, she says she won't shower now, but it looks really obvious that she hasn't showered in a long time.

Once upon a time, I went to a training for continuing education in addictions counseling.  This training was a big deal because one of the presenters was a man named Albert Ellis.  For behavioral health professionals, no introduction is necessary.  Ellis was the founder of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.  He was also someone who was preoccupied with the anxiety of sexually repressed people, and projected himself as quite the libertine.

At this training, Dr. Ellis explained the basis of his theory, and used a client with sexual hangups as an example of how it worked.  He used crude, everyday language, and referred to his sexual organ twice using the word which is a synonym for rooster.  The crowd of clinicians was mostly female, all folks who were the sort of left-liberals who were on guard for sexist or "inappropriate" comments from the presenters.  Yet no one gasped, tut-tutted, or even complained at Ellis's use of terms.  If I had done this, I would have been labeled "inappropriate" publicly, and a "dirty old man" privately.  But this was Albert Ellis, The Great One.  His reputation preceded him, and no one cared about the use of a vulgar word in a matter-of-fact way.  Indeed, I suspect some there would have been disappointed if he HADN'T given that sort of "performance".  Ellis was well known as being avant garde, sexually; the folks at that training knew what they were getting.

Trump is the Albert Ellis of politics, in that he's an example of special rules for special people.  He can get away with this because he never pretended to be a staid, Puratanical, reserved, stick-in-the-mud.  Ted Cruz acts religious, leading prayer groups; he'd drop like a stone if he did this.  Rubio would be treated like Pee Wee Herman at a peep show.  But Trump; he's judged by a different standard, one by which he always measures up.  It takes a certain degree of genius to be able to play by his own rules and get away with it as Trump does.

Trump has successfully bridged the gap between rock star and politician. I think we can call it being TRUMP.

There will be books galore about Trump's rise, even if he isn't the nominee.

One wonders what sort of showbiz candidacies this will spawn in future Presidential elections.
