a decent Republican who's sane can hold his/her own or win with the two-term tradition on their side.

Yes, but I don't think the party wants to nominate those types anymore.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)/Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ): 229 EV. (47.9%)

With Trump:

President Barack Obama (D-IL)/Vice President Joe Biden (D-DE): 348 EV. (52.4%)
Businessman Donald Trump(R-NY)/Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX): 190 EV. (46.4%)

It would be a slight win with the way things are going right now, Since is ISIS controlling the narrative but had this question been asked in June it would have been a strong yes. All things aside Obama is a really good at campaigning so who knows.

Almost exactly this, plus Colorado against Rubio and minus NE-2 against Trump.

His numbers are the same or better than their were in 2011 and he's had one of the best campaign machines of the past 50 years. Of course he could win.
