No non-incumbant GOPer has ever won both the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary. (Mitt Romney came close in 2012 but after originally being declared winner in IA it was later changed to Santorum). With a field as big as this one the trend may continue, but if it did happen, who has the best shot? Trump, Cruz, Carson and Rubio are the top four in polling nationally and in both Iowa and New Hampshire. So which one of them (or maybe someone else?) has the best shot at going 2-0?

Bonus question, could anything stop a candidate that won both? In the modern era every GOP nominee has one one or the other.

Cruz will win Iowa and use that as a springboard to win NH

Trump for sure. Cruz is very strong in Iowa but pretty meh/weak in New Hampshire and he knows that. Rubio is not flexing his muscles at all in any of the early states. Carson is a joke candidate at this point. Trump is strong in Iowa and strong in New Hampshire.

Trump will not win Iowa, some clown with a Ged is not a replacement for legitimate caucus field operations such as the one that Cruz has

Trump, Cruz, or Rubio all could.  It's still two months away- remember that four months ago, it was a foregone conclusion that Walker would win Iowa?

You joke, but Trump crying is probably one of few things that could end his candidacy at this point. Nobody wants a wimp.

Rubio. He's polling strongly and rising slowly enough to win at the right time, like Kerry in '04.

Trump. He most likely may win IA and NH.

Trump. Carson/Cruz can definitely win IA (yeah, I still think Carson is a main contender for the nomination, deal with it), but are DOA in NH. Rubio is probably too moderate for IA, but could win NH. Trump is the only candidate who can woo both IA evangelicals and NH Moderates.
