Everyone on Twitter seems to be saying the police scanner is searching for an Arabic individual (female?), but they have been proven wrong all day, so I guess I'll just leave that here and stick with the witness for now.

Exactly. No one knows anything for sure.

I will say that the MO here, of several heavily armed suspects attacking and then fleeing into the surrounding area, reminds me a lot more of Paris and Charlie Hebdo than any recent American domestic terror attack. Probably the closest American match is the original plan of Harris and Klebold in Columbine. However, there's exceptions to every rule.

I was thinking it had to do with a employee or more who were upset about something at their work. Like various similar situations with a student who shoots up their school, they're angry and chose to target somewhere that the source of their problems.

I would too, except the FBI guy was being evasive saying they'd follow it wherever it went and without saying what made it sound like something was a little off.

Sane people the world over have also pointed out that a Mosque and a couple of Evangelical churches are within two miles of the shooting... so take your pick?

Given the sheer amount of guns, ammunition, tactical armor, and pipe bombs involved, I think that's safe to say.
