I think muon2 is one of the most intelligent posters.

I would have to agree.  Two that I would also list, from the other side, are elcorazon and James 42.

Thank you.  Nice to be mentioned.  It is kinda hard to prove intellegence on this forum.  Having an IQ of 142 and all, one would think I would be mentioned more.  Sorry, that was shameless.  Smiley

142 isn't that high, actually.

140 is genius

I am familar with the quote, that is why I rarely ever talk about it.  I assure you, most people don't know that.

But just for fun, I'lll refer you to this quote:

"If you can do it, it is not braging".

Hmm really?

My IQ is the (38th prime number) - 1.  If anyone is actually going to calculate it, don't write it down here.

<sighs> As usual, another thread about what poster is the ______est?  And as usual, I think that I should at least be mentioned.  And as usual, no one mentions me at all, over 6 pages.  Alas.

Don't worry, most people generally don't find me worthy of mention anymore either.

People with high IQs who also boast excessively tend to annoy me. Alcon has a vague idea of my intellectual capability/capacity but I will not talk about it publicly here because there is really nothing gained from bragging about one's intelligence on a public internet forum.

Oh for Christ's sake.  Can't anyone take a joke.  Jokes are the things preceded by the little smiley.  Which is what I did.

You know how many people acctually know what my IQ is is real life.  Me, my parents and a couple of close friends.  That is it.

Supersoulty...I've had a few conversations with him a long time ago...and while I still, respectfully disagree, I can't help but mention him.

I know that.  Trust me, I have done my share of really stupid things.

Anyway, if it makes anyone feel any better, here is another quote from the legendary Dizzy Dean that will help put things in perspective:

Dean: For next year, I want twice what I'm making now.

Cards GM: Judas Priests!  We can't afford to pay you that.

Dean: Listen buddy, I don't know who Judas Priests is.  My name is Dean and I am worth every penny of it.

I have a computer program on my computer that I wrote myself that I used to calculate the first 100,000 prime numbers, so I could just look it up.

But you can't really gauge intelligence on a internet forum, so knowledge is a better measure-stick.

How is it that people even know their IQ?  Are they relying on those free internet tests.  I know I had to take a bunch of IQ-type tests when applying for high schools (like the Raven), but they never came out and told us our IQ.

Sorry, my bad.  Everyone else seems to think that I am just getting my jollies by bragging about it, and that isn't the case.  I'm not the type of person who has ever bragged about anything or thought that I was better than anyone else in my life.  There are a lot of people who are a Hell of a lot more intellegent than I am.  I just am worried that people think I am stupid, because that was what a lot of people thought for a very long time.

Personally, I have had good discussions with dazzleman, Ford, and WMS.

Thanks! Kiki
You plus us three = good discussions. Smiley The one on North Korea is reminding me a lot of the discussions I'd get into in college... Cheesy

I personally went to an educational pyschologist and had my parents pay £120 for a report Grin. The specific purpose though was not to ascertain my IQ though, it was because I wished to use a laptop in public examinations and you have to have an educational pyschologist verify that you have a problem which hinders your performance in exams that you would not be afflicted by if you used a laptop. As a result, I get a laptop and know my IQ Smiley. Laptop = great for exams though, I can write over double the amount I would've been able to write and at a higher quality of language, analysis and evaluation Cheesy.
