Okay, so describe your Representative. Post a picture of him/her, describe them and elaborate on what you think of him/her. NOTE to anyone in PA13: be simple Smiley.

Ok, a PA 13er here.  I gave Allyson Schwartz a 9.  Not perfect, but I generally like her as my Congresswoman.

This is Gary Lunn:

He is a Conservative, and he won a third term with 34% of the vote.

This is Gudrun Schaich-Walch.

SPD. Pretty dull. Was a junior minister in the health department in 2001-2. Member of the Bundestag since 1994, directly elected in 1998 and 2002. I have no special beef with her. Nor do I like her. I gave her a 5.

I rate him a 3. He got elected through the back door. Our district is very liberal and he's just another of Harper's lapdogs.

Mike Turner (R-OH-03)

I'll give him a 6.  He's a nice enough guy, but a little too conservative for my tastes.

I live in the district with Raul Grijalva.

He's personally a very nice man, but politically a left-wingnut.

We can talk about cars (he knows a lot about the Mustang).

My congressman, Todd Platts, is on the right...

That picture made me LOL, but anyway...he's a typical conservative Republican. Not too extreme on any issue. He's been pretty cautious about supporting social security reform, but so are a lot of other Republicans I guess.

He ran unopposed by a Democrat in 2004, so I voted Green. I didn't really want to vote Green, but the Libertarian was a wacko and the Constitution party candidate still refers, publically I might add, to blacks as "negroes."

(OK-5) Rep. Ernest Istook (R).  I gave him an 8.  He is very conservative and has done some great things for central Oklahoma.

For the past few years (2001-2004), I lived in OK-3 with Rep. Frank Lucas (R) (NW Oklahoma).  I would give him a 7.  Hasn't done anything very special, but not very awful, either.  He's conservative so I give him a 7.

He's either sexually aroused or about to eat the cameraman, and either way I'm glad I'm over here.

my congressman is Thaddeus McCotter R  MI 11th district.  He is your average conservative republican congressman he has been a congressman since 2003 this is his second term.  He's a good guy he was my state senator before becoming a congressman, the congress district was drawn for him in includes all of his state senate district (they finally took us out of the Ann Arbor district).  i would rate him a 8.

Stephanie Herseth (D-SD-AL)

About a 6.  She's awfully conservative for a Democrat (except on abortion issues, as an EMILY's List woman).  She's smart, knows how to not anger the voters.

My representative, Zoe Lofgren, makes Ted Kennedy look like a ruthless neo-con.

My Rep. at present is Elijah Cummings (along with Akno21).

He's a nice guy, but I disagree with him on a majority of things.

Therefore, a 5. (good guy, policy disagreements)

Frank Wolf (R-VA-10)

Big on gun control (I think he has either an D or an F from the NRA), seems to be on the forefront of the Darfur issue as well. I'll give him a 7.
