Tim Scott (R, inc.): 53%
Joyce Dickerson (D): 25%

B-b-but Scott only won last year because 2014 was a midterm and a Republican wave Sad

Scott approval rating: 46/25
Graham approval rating: 30/51

Who said that's the only reason Scott won?  In whose world would South Carolina ever be competitive right now?

^Just messing around, obviously. There seems to be a general consensus around red avatars here that the GOP only wins election because of low turnout.

Not is South Carolina...

TNvolunteer, I think you really suffer from your inclination to utterly and completely oversimplify every argument any red avatar ever posts to the point of making yourself look asinine.

Yeah and I'm pretty sure most red avatars don't have much of a problem with Scott anyway. Yeah he's ultra conservative but he seems to avoid doing or saying crazy things.

LOL @ Graham. He will probably lose his primary in 2020 provided he gets a non-gadfly challenger.

BUT MUH D TREND IN SC!!!!

Seriously, though, even those that do make the low turnout argument wouldn't argue that it applies to SC.

If he gets one challenger like McDaniel, yes. If there's 5-7 challengers like last time? Nope.

All of his challengers last time were total gadflys.

Also, don't forget SC uses runoffs. So, even if Graham has multiple challengers initially, as long as he's pulled under 50% in the 1st round, there's a chance for all anti-Grahams to unite behind the one remaining challenger in the runoff.
