If it were this blatant, then the Corporate Elite would be able to prevent anything harmful for them from ever reaching the major media outlets, since they own them. Therefore, they win.
Of course, maybe a strike of TV cameramen would lay Television low altogether. Smiley

The Religious nuts wouldn't run with the Coporate Elite.  It would be third party.  Anyway:

What would the South, Indiana, the Great Plains, and the Rocky Mountains have against unions and in favor of the corporate elite?  It's not like these regions are full of Wall Streeters.
