BREAKING: TALLEYRAND DEFEATS PIKACHU IN LANDSLIDE, TPP DEVASTATED, FEDS IN CHAOS

I'm your host Henry W. Türkisblau and this is a special report from Minute Maid Park here in Houston, Texas.

In a stunning rebuke to the political establishment, insurgent candidate Talleyrand has rolled over all in his path. We in Atlasia's Newsroom are here at Minute Maid Park and will switch over to Senator Elect Talleyrand's victory speech as soon as possible. With 40,000 in attendance, the scene is here is raucous and celebratory. This is one of the first times in recent political history that The People are finally getting their voices heard, and they know that the once great TPP is just not capable of that any longer.

Camera switches to Minute Maid Park

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: SENATOR NC YANKEE ON THE SPECIAL ELECTION

Türkisblau: Senator North Carolina Yankee, thank you for joining us by satellite in Atlasia's Newsroom this fine evening. First, I'd like to question you about the controversy surrounding Classic Conservative's actions over the course of the election. What do you have to say about his leaking of personal messages, supposed illegal PMs sent to make voters edit their votes cast for Talleyrand, and subsequent condemnation by Midwest Governor tmthforu94, of Civic Renewal?

NC Yankee: Thank you for having me, we do not have enough media in this game anymore and I am pleased to see it being giving a bit of a jolt once again. You and Truman deserve a great deal of credit for that.

I missed the interactions on Saturday afternoon because I was occupied with something rather important IRL, working my a## off on too little sleep.

The Federalist Party doesn't approve of illegal or underhanded tactics. Our party has been the victim of underhanded tactics more then once and they harm the game. I haven't seen any evidence to support the accusations being made of trying to get people to change their votes with the intent of invalidating them.

As for the leaking of personal messages, I know not sure what was leaked but generally there is a mixed record when it comes to doing that. When RowanBrandon leaked the PMs about Hamilton, many heralded him as a hero for exposing sock making.

Governor Tmthforu94 is a great Atlasian and I am glad he has returned after these many months. I don't doubt that Classic has made mistakes in his interactions and decisions, but if nothing illegal happened then I would hope that people give him the same chance to learn and grow from his mistakes.

Türkisblau: Senator Yankee, with all due regard, with Classic's high number of public statements along with him being a very well-known Federalist politician due to his high-profile and controversial legislation in the Pacific, his activities have largely been associated with the Federalist Party. You have stated that he may have made questionable decisions, so would you support a full investigation into his actions, and do you think that the Federalist Party should distance itself from Classic Conservative? According to tmthforu94, he did publicly post personal messages.

NC Yankee: I think justice should be served. At the same time, one of the reasons why there are two center-right parties instead of one right now is because we weren't there for each other in 2014 when really mattered and instead many preferred to take to stabbing each other in the back whilst I was without internet access and once I came back the runaway train was unstoppable. Even worse was standing by and letting accusations and attacks go unchallenged whilst a Federalist administration withered on the vine. Some of these critiques like the one about posting invalids (an action numerous trackers have done) is really a pathetic attempt to pile on using whatever is at hand to do so. I am not going to stand by and let sheer bs stand. Since he joined Classic has mostly gotten a rotten deal, his views may be controversial and he has made a lot of mistakes as a newbie, but he has been active and shown a desire to improve and reform the game.

Türkisblau: However, on the subject of Classic Conservative let me get this straight - you are backing Classic Conservative, despite prominent voices of criticism even on the right? Do you trust Classic's judgment over tmthforu94 and Simfan's? I hate to be terse, but it feels like a deflection for you to simply state that justice should be served and then degenerate into a rambling history lesson.

I do believe that one has a responsible to criticize a party member when they give your party a bad image - for Classic to hijack the Federalist Party would be a blow towards what you have worked so hard to build.

NC Yankee: It is not a deflection. If laws were broken, the party supports the law being upheld. I don't encourage or condone Classic's mistakes nor do I support them continuing. I do support him learning from his mistakes, growing and maturing from the mistakes the same way those who have criticized him were likewise given a shot at redemption. It would be a double standard to not give him the same chances others were.

Türkisblau: To also piggyback off the subject of Classic Conservative being accused of using questionable tactics to boost Pikachu's chances, what do you have to say about the fact that most of your party broke with you in voting for Pikachu? What motivations were behind their large turnout against the Federalist candidate, instead voting for the TPP candidate?

NC Yankee: The simple reason is that many of them did not regard Talleyrand has a Federalist. He is a nice guy but he has spent the better part of two years opposing, criticizing and condemning Federalists and the Federalist Party, as well as opposing it on most everything that has come up. That is why he faced expulsion and his initial responses only further alienated many in the Party from him as the proceedings progressed. At the same time there have been Federalists who have defended him and encouraged members to give him a chance to prove himself to the Party. His later answers also served him well in the expulsion proceeedings. I generally don't hold grudges, or at the very least, try to not let them dictate my actions. For these reasons, as well as the fact that he ran a better campaign, I decided to vote for Talleyrand. I like Pikachu a lot and I hope that in the future he returns and runs for office again.

Türkisblau: Let me say thank you for choosing the side of experience and action, Yankee. It is certainly a breath of fresh air coming from you.

NC Yankee: Not really, but I can see why you would think it so odd for me to be so refreshing. Tongue

Türkisblau: I believe that raps up our interview - thank you for coming on and it was a pleasure speaking to you this morning.

NC Yankee: Likewise, indeed. I enjoyed the opportunity.

It seems Turkisblau's brief foray into tabloid journalism has been so distressing that his psyche has cracked completely, and he is now interviewing his imaginary friends. Even more troublingly, he now apparently thinks he is a horse!

More nonsense coming from the political establishment! Nelson Hanford is indeed a real person - I received his contact details from Governor Simfan.

Perhaps you should go back to the hole where you came from and increase the quality of your journalism before you call this Fair and Balanced™ program a "tabloid"  and stay out of the page for official publications! I didn't go to the Mideast Record-Courier to express my feelings towards your incompetence!

Ease up on Classic, guys. He's fairly young from what I can tell--who knows, he might be fairly new to the internet as well. He's certainly much more coherent/intelligent/nice than I was when I first started posting stuff online. It's just an internet forum game--no one wants to get dog-piled on like this, nor should they. He made some mistakes--I'm sure everyone on this site has done that, too. I guess part of it is that his views are even less popular on the internet than mine, but even then it's not like he's defending North Korea.

Back to the topic at hand: I actually think Turk did a good job. It's a bit odd, but I actually think interviewing fake people is kind of funny--in a humorous way, not a "huh, there's something funny about that guy..." way. (I'd like do an interview if you want--sitting governor, ConCon delegate, active word-typer, et cetera.)

I'm not sure why Yankee would swallow his dentures if the guy he voted for won, and I certainly wasn't a member of the Federalists crying (although I get the reference--I internally chuckled).

And good job to Talleyrand! He ran a very active, very tactically smart campaign, and won. I've given him a hefty share of flack, and I have no clue at all what he'll do in the senate, but if more people run campaigns like this the activity problems will be gone.

Ridiculous sensationalism. Why would I be shocked about the confirmation of results I came to embrace as the desired one publically at ten last night? What I am shocked about is the level of contempt that has been demonstrated today, following such levels of respect and integrity demonstrated last night on your behalf that foolishly led me to believe that I could trust you with an interview. No, I am pretty sure a good many CRs right now would be forming just the opposite opinion of my abilities at recall. I also recall a bunch of idiots who predicted our death, and got showed you don't f... with the Feds. I wonder who that was? Evil

SPECIAL REPORT

THE TYRANNY AT THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION

The Constitutional Convention, which has been championed as a the tool for Atlasian revival, has had some speed bumps in starting up. In fact, it took a whole 3 days for a new ballot for Presiding Officer to begin, delaying the beginning of the Convention and dimming hopes for the whole process to actually be productive. However, the delegates have begun their work, and it's discussion has been whipping up at a furious pace.

The sorry fact about the establishment's new found productivity is the fact that progress is going the opposite direction from the public's wishes.

First, let's speak briefly on the way the Constitutional Convention's sorry delegate selection.

A 48-hours STV vote is now open.

CONSERVATIVE DELEGATES (2 to be elected)

[ ] Tmthforu94 of Kansas (Civic Renewal)
[ ] ClarkKent of Connecticut (Federalist Party)

PROGRESSIVE DELEGATES (2 to be elected)

[ ] Bore of Rhode Island (Labor Party)
[ ] Evergreen of Maine (Northeast National Party)

CENTRIST DELEGATES (1 to be elected)

[ ] Ilikeverin of Minnesota (Abolitionist Party)
[ ] BMotley of Colorado (Democratic-Republican Party)
[ ] SomebodyWhoExists of Puerto Rico (Independent)
[ ] Cincinnatus of New York (The People's Party)
[ ] Pikachu of New Jersey (The People's Party)
[ ] EarlAW of Ontario (Washburnist Socialist Revolutionary Party)

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

I would like someone, anyone to explain to me how such luminaries like ClarkKent and BMotley were selected to serve, while folks that have been working for ages on reform such as Ilikeverin and Cincinnatus were shut out of the process entirely? This is all beside the point seeing as it's ancient history, but all I can say is thank God that Talleyrand is in the Senate right now and cleaning the trash out!

This brings us to Confederate Lover Classic Conservative's fascistic amendment to the Constitution proposed in order to keep the Northeast in line. I bet that if his right-wing cronies were pushing for independence, that he'd have the opposite view!

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.
This is an Admendment.

In fact, the absolutely immature delegate who should have been locked out of the room had this to say to Northeast political leaders. I am not making this up, readers!

i object in the strongest possible way

the right to self-determination is recognised worldwide as a fundamental human right, and i can't support a constitution that utterly destroys it like this.
Agreed - it would be undemocratic to deny self-determination.
I see the KKK marching in playing Dixie and waving the Confederate flag here they are:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k-s51B66Sl4

As tmthforu94 recognizes, regional rights should obviously come first, however for some odd reason our usual champions for regional rights seem to have reversed their positions entirely. Could it be because the see the Northeast National Party and the accompanying movement a serious threat?

It surprises how individuals who have claimed to advocate for regional rights for years are now voting AGAINST regional rights on one of the most important votes related to it we have seen.

Even more surprising: This absolutely horrible proposed piece to what is supposed to be a "revitalizing" Constitution...

PASSED

AYE: 10
NAY: 9
ABSTAIN: 2

The amendment has been adopted.

In fact, it passed with a count of 10 delegates voting, but I thought that there were 25 delegates?

Yes, this Constitutional Convention is so poorly run, that the first and perhaps most important vote it will take passes and becomes a part of the proposed Constitution with only 10 delegates out of 25 supporting the provision, and on this first very important vote there were 4 delegates who didn't even bother to show up!

Re-voting and additional amendments are being proposed to counter this travesty of democracy by those who support a free society where self-determination exists, and regional rights are supported. We can only hope that they are successful, and that this Constitutional Convention can get it's act together soon.

Our nation depends on it.

AFTERNOON REPORT WITH TMTHFORU94

Welcome to our afternoon report for Thursday, October 15th, here are today's news headlines:

"MAKE ATLASIA GREAT AGAIN" PARTY FORMED, CANDIDATES FOUND FOR MIDWEST AND PACIFIC SENATE SEATS, TALLEYRAND TAKES ACTION, VOTING ON SECESSION STILL IN PROGRESS AT CONCON

This afternoon we are joined by tmthforu94 in our studio.

Türkisblau:  Thank you for coming on the program. As a former president, current Constitutional Convention delegate, and a revitalizing force of change as Governor of the Midwest, most would agree that you have a great deal of influence in the national conversation as of late. First, I would like you to speak on the subject of Classic Conservative, whose record NC Yankee papered over entirely on this program only days ago. You are a strong voice opposing him and his activities in the ConCon, the Pacific, and during the election.

I'll cut to the point - do you believe that he should resign from all in-game posts? Secondly, why do you believe that the rest on the Atlasian right, besides Governor Simfan, have ignored what are clearly questionable actions coming from him?

tmthforu94: I want to make Atlasia great again. Obviously I know that line is borrowed from Donald Trump's campaign, but it is the truth. Atlasia has seen a rapid decline in the past year and I am committed to fixing it. Right now I am doing so by working to revitalize the Midwest and make sure our next constitution is sound.

As for Classic Conservative, I wouldn't go as far as to say he should resign, because there isn't any concrete evidence that he committed a crime. What we are seeing from him, though, and what I am disappointed that other conservatives are ignoring, is the divisive nature that he is portraying. His policy positions support oppressing individuals and he frequently instigates fights with members of the Atlasian left, even those in his own party. Ultimately he is hurting the Atlasian right, and I hope others see that before it is too late. I firmly believe that Pikachu would now be a senator if it wasn't for Classic Conservative's antics.

I know he is young, and sure, that should be factored in. But we have had many young individuals have a successful political career in Atlasia, so age shouldn't be an excuse for his behavior.

Türkisblau: Speaking of Making Atlasia Great Again, I understand that recently you've been working on that in a small scale - can you explain your recent efforts in the Midwest, as well as speak on the possible Midwest and Pacific merger?

tmthforu94: I wouldn't say it is small scale, my friend. Big things are happening in the Midwest. We have a full legislature again and already have legislation introduced to fix a few errors in the constitution as well as help the many patriot farmers in the region.

I'm proud to be a Midwesterner - the Midwest has a lot of history and tradition. Due to what is happening in Nyman now at the Constitutional Convention, I will not entertain the idea of a merge with the Pacific until after the ConCon is completed. I don't want us to waste time and energy on something that may be for naught if there is a consolidation of regions, which looks likely. I would rather spend that time fighting for the workers of our region who are battling with increased inflation and rising unemployment.

Türkisblau:  Good to hear about your work in the Midwest, as someone who has attempted to revive a region before, I understand the difficulties behind what goes into that.

Now, let's talk about the Constitutional Convention. As a voice for regional rights, I take it that you find the recent passage of a provision forbidding secession troubling. Can you speak on that subject? Are you happy with the direction that the Convention is going?

tmthforu94: I support regional rights, always have and always will. I am disappointed that some members of the convention are weak when push comes to shove on the issue. If a region wants to secede, there should be a process in place. I'm not saying I encourage secession, but it makes since to have something in place in case there is ever an attempt.

I think the Constitutional Convention has been a little confusing with so many threads, as the actions taken in one thread will have effects on other threads. I have voiced my concerns to the Presiding Officer, as have MANY others, but nothing has been done yet.

Türkisblau:  Yes, these developments at the Constitutional Convention are certainly troubling. The people of Atlasia need to know more about the current tyrannical direction it is going in.

Finally, I would like to ask about the upcoming presidential race. Have you made an endorsement of any specific candidate yet?

tmthforu94: Originally I was leaning towards Griffin, but Cris has ran a strong campaign and both sides have made excellent selections for Vice President, so I still have not made up my mind.

Ultimately, rather than looking at specific political views, I will be looking at the plan each candidate has when it comes to game reform and regional rights. I will decide which candidate is better for the good people of the Midwest and decide from there. I think both would make terrific presidents, it just comes down to which one is better for Atlasia now.

Türkisblau:  Thank you for your words, Governor. It was a pleasure speaking to you!

The best interests of this nation are not well served nor is the Constitutional Convention taken in by the inflammatory language employed by Mr. Turkisblau, when he employs such ridiculous rhetoric as:

Türkisblau:  Yes, these developments at the Constitutional Convention are certainly troubling. The people of Atlasia need to know more about the current tyrannical direction it is going in.

Tyrannical direction?

This is absurd.  It is time that you ceased your pontificating and that you stepped down from your soap box.

EXCLUSIVE LEAK: AG ON A CRIS PRESIDENCY

This correspondence has just been leaked to Atlasia's Newsroom.
