Is plagiarism in legislation considered acceptable. Like suppose an Arkansas state legislator took Iowas legislation regarding computer redistricting for Congress, copy pasted it word for word (except making as few necessary changes as needed if applicable like replacing the word "Iowa" with the word "Arkansas"), and introduced it as legislation. Would there be any consequences, or would this be fully allowed?

I'm pretty sure this is totally acceptable, otherwise "model" legislation at the state level wouldn't be a thing.

I’d honestly be very flattered and happy rather than upset if I was a legislator and a bill I wrote got ‘plagiarised.’
