Um, that would be George McGovern.  Hubert Humphrey was really the last old-style liberal we had to get the nomination; he'd be disgusted by the current Democratic Party of today.

Yeah, I knew someone would bring that up. 

It's a legit point. I have nothing against -8, 0 populism, but I do have something against -8, 8 populism, which is what he wanted.
