New Mexico:

Made two attempts for Democrats. The blue one is inner city Albuquerque and went 83.2-15.2 Obama. The yellow one was the more successful one, at 84.3-14.4 Obama.

79.4% McCain
19.7% Obama

Eventually, yes. The rest of the states are going to be a pain in the ass though.

Illinois:

Its already been done that you can exceed 99% Obama in Chicago's black neighborhoods, but this is just godly (yes, there is a narrow path out of that Tazewell County area):

67.0% McCain
31.4% Obama

A thing of beauty:0

Texas:

83.2% McCain
16.8% Obama

This was the biggest pain in the ass ever, and the biggest mess of a "district" ever. I just went around the state searching for anything over 80% Republican. Mostly searching in western Texas and then when I ran out of areas I went on a journey to exurban Houston. There are many possibilities with Texas and you can do precincts in the eastern part of the state as well and get a similar result, but max is around 85% McCain.

86.2% Obama
13.8% McCain

Despite Dallas being the blackest major city in Texas, this district isn't majority black. Around 45% Black, 38% Hispanic.

Wow, that Texas Republican district.

I can't decide if it's a work of art that deserves a medal, or a monstrosity that needs to be shot and buried in a shallow grave.

Preferably the latter.

Washington:

Another abomination of a district. Some of the places might not look connected due to the rivers, but I did the best I could on that.

68.9% McCain
29.2% Obama

And here's your social justice warrior district:

91.4% Obama
7.2% McCain

65% White.

For California Democratic, should I go for Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Alameda (Berkeley and Oakland)?

California:

I made two attemps for Democrats

Surprisngly enough San Francisco doesn't even come close to this, this is a Berkeley + Oakland + whatever uber D precints were left outside. Very diverse

Obama: 90.0%
McCain: 10.0%

I was actually very shocked that not only does the Los Angeles area have a bigger black population than I expected, but the heavily Hispanic areas consistently vote >90% Obama. You don't see that very often, even in Chicago and other heavily Democratic cities. Its 57% Hispanic and 37% Black, only 2% White.

94.6% Obama
5.4% McCain

And here's another monstrosity that stretches all the way across the state. The most consistently conservative areas were the white areas in the lower central valley (particularly Kern County), and then I reached up to Shasta County and co, as well as the most conservative areas of San Diego and Orange counties. It may look like some areas are trapped in, but I made sure that even if it was the smallest gap, there is a way out of these areas.

69.1% McCain
30.9% Obama

For a closer view, here's the southern part of the district:

And here's the northern part of the district:

In the 1990s, the Democrats drew some districts which weren't as compact as those.
