Mr Speaker, it's with great regret that I announce to this house that a 8.3 magnitude has hit Chile last night. From speaking to Government ministers from Chile and several other sources I understand that currently 5 people have been killed from this deadly blast. This is the sixth most powerful earthquake that has hit chile in it's history, so I'm sure members of the House are as concerned as me. In response to the threat of Tsunamis over 1 million people have been evacuated to avert this risk. I'll be keeping in contact with government officials from across the land to ensure that our most vulnerable citizens are protected. These environmental threats show the importance of a united Government in South America, only by being united can we ensure protection for all our citizens. I'll keep this house informed of any developments,

Mr. Speaker,

The so-called 'government' of South America continues to twiddle its thumbs while millions of South Americans suffer as the wage slaves of the parasitic capitalist class. And so it must be, given that that very class backs the Con-Lib government to the hilt! We of the Workers Party, however, do not pretend that a government of the 'Social' Liberals or the Socialists, or even a majority government of the so-called Socialist Party would be any different. Nay, a government by the granola-crunching accessories of bourgeois rule or the labor lieutenants of capital would act in much the same manner, although their rule would be one that would disillusion the working classes into thinking that change comes through the state which oppresses and exploits them. A vile falsehood indeed!

The only solution to the problems facing the South American worker is the overthrow of the imperialist-flunkies of the Con-Lib parties and their labor lieutenants in the Socialist Party and among the trade union bureaucracy. The working class must organize itself for victory, under the banner of the Workers' Party, and smash that state which oppresses and exploits them, as well as the class whose interests it serves. The Workers Party fights for a workers' government for the whole of South America. Not an agent of imperialist strivers, but rather, a United Socialist States of South America! Only by raising the red banner of labor can the divisions of past nationalist feelings be quenched and the working class gain the confidence to carry out its historic mission - the emancipation of mankind.

Workers, we encourage you - seize your factories! Seize the fields! Organize trade unions! Build militias for self-defense! The government of the Conservatives and their useful idiots among the Social Liberal party has made known that it wishes to crush the workers' movement via its aggrandizing anti-communist motions against FARC. While we disavow individual terrorism, we defend socialist groups from repression by the state - an injury to any of us is an injury to all of us. Defend FARC against government repression! Down with the Con-Lib government! Down with the South American Parliament!

For workers' revolution! Build the Workers Party as the only instrument whereby the emancipation of the toiling masses can be effected. Freedom for the tillers of the soil and those in the mines, factories, and workshops! For a United Socialist States of South America! For a United Socialist States of Earth! Long live Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Trotsky!

Members,

I urge that all left-minded members of this dishonourable parliament vote for immediate dissolution of this faux-government led by the Conservatives. In the 2nd General Election, they did not reach a majority of the vote; the people and especially the working class of South America obviously do not desire more of their reactionary policies pressed upon them.

In order for the liberation of the working class from the bourgeoisie to be reached, it is imperative that we dispatch with the Conservatives. There must be an immediate overthrow of this oppressive system and defeating PM Potus' government is the first step.

For the Worker's of South America!

I apologize to the House for not speaking during the appropriate debate on the confidence motion in the Government but I was otherwise detained over the weekend.

Seeing as the election was held only a few weeks ago, the Social Liberals have resolved to allow the Government to win the confidence of the House by officially abstaining.  From here on out, we will negotiate with the Government on each piece of legislation on a case-by-case basis and we will use every power given to us in opposition to hold the Government to account.

We will not be afraid to topple this administration if it attempts to scuttle actions on social welfare or to create a criminal tax avoidance system for the wealthiest elites in this country.

We are confident in our position as an opposition party and will use it when the cause of the nation calls.

I ask my fellow members to join with my government to pass the reasonable federal tax code currently proposed.

The revenue generated by the plan is sufficient to fund the operations of government. It provides adequate funding while avoiding burdensome taxation that limits economic prosperity. A broad base with low rates provides a stable, secure means of funding the government.

I urge my fellow members to back the bill.
