Would a Trump-Sessions ticket be good for the GOP? Wealthy, inexperienced in politics businessman from the Northeast and a Southern legislator and former lawyer. Northern-Southern balance. Thoughts?

In the long term the defeat may be so massive that the party might finally get its act together. (Or all the troublemakers in the house lose their seats) that it helps the GOP. But no it probably it won't

Only one ticket could ever be worse than this one: Rush Limbaugh/Sarah Palin.

The party will literally implode if we nominate Trump to be our candidate.

It would be a 1964-style defeat. Trump would literally destroy the Republican party.

I am not a fan of Trump, but I don't see him losing 1964 style. For one thing you have massive polarization and he has a message that would ensure at least a 45% floor in most of the NE and Midwest swing states. Combine that with a billion dollars and that 51%-46% poll probably isn't too far off.

Yes, Sessions' impressive re-election win in 2014 will convince Trump to pick him as VP.

For there to be a 1964 style defeat, it would take a real race baiter to win the Republican nomination...

Trump would be up to the challenge.

Trump is a worse candidate than Goldwater. Hispanics would vote like Blacks if Trump won the nomination.

And Goldwater, for all of his flaws, is actually a respectable human being.

Well it could be a ticket, but they wouldn't win.
However I would vote for them in 2016 if that was the GOP ticket.

Trump/Sessions 60% 373 EV
Clinton/Sanders 38% 165 EV

Freedom fighters Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions make America great again right in the face of Killary Klinton (D-Benghazi) and her commie stooge Sanders. Trump and Sessions usher in an era of Republican dominance, gaining 2 seats in the Senate in 2016 with an additional 6 in 2018. Iran surrenders to Israel, Mexico takes back all their immigrants paying the US $1 million each for their removal, and Vladimir Putin commits suicide after watching Trump's inauguration, leaving all of Russia's nukes to Trump in his will.
