Mr. Speaker, sir, if I may rise on the indulgence of the chair, I would like to thank you for your exemplary service to the previous parliament and the foundation of our republic.  Before this new parliament becomes consumed in the many tasks that lay ahead of us, I think it is fitting that we recognize you, Mr. Speaker, for your service to our nation.

We are here at the start of something fresh, new, and exciting. I look forward to accomplishing our worthwhile goals during this Parliament. The first couple orders of government following the Speaker elections will be the Order of Parliament Act and the Government of South America Act. Each of these pieces of legislation will contribute to the rock solid foundation of our game.

Alright, alright. As I understand it, in various systems, the speaker is occasionally not an MP and was only suggesting Cranberry since I hold him in high regard, thus a "nomination."
