Obama voters apparently follow politics more closely, and are almost 2-1/2 times as likely as Romney voters to have formed and articulated an opinion on Mr. Nuts.
Mr. Nuts gets much of his support from those who can't remember who they voter for in 2012 or someone else than Romney or Obama. Among Obama voters, most of the support for Nuts comes from Clinton voters (ie they would not vote for a Republican, but don't like Clinton). Moderates are much more likely to like Nuts. Nuts are a good source of protein, but only in
moderation since they have lots of calories. Conservatives are reluctant to express an opinion about someone they have never heard about.
17% of moderates would vote for Nuts in a 3-way race with Clinton and Trump.
36% of blacks have an opinion of Nuts, vs 15% of whites. In a three-way race among blacks, 17% would favor Nuts, 10% Trump, and 61% Clinton.
51% of those 18-29 have an opinion about Nuts, vs only 6% if those over 65.
57% of internet interviewees have an opinion of Nuts vs. 9% of phone interviewees. It is illegal for pollsters to automatically poll mobile phone users (they can if they have live interviewers, but that is expensive). PPP tries to get around this problem by using internet surveys which are supposedly demographically matched.
