Again, this is a "two wrongs make a right" fallacy.

Got a better argument than that?

This discussion would be more fruitful if you bothered reading some of my points. I am not making the case that "two wrongs make a right", I am simply stating "let's recognize that there are two wrongs to begin with while the political establishment and mainstream media only see one wrong, giving the left a free pass on everything from making  threats against the state to beating up policemen to threatening political opponents." Seriously, both the Young Greens and Jusos brag about attacking AfD-stands in the street and even going to the homes of AfD candidates. Does anybody give a crap about that? Nope.

The logic of some on the left on this topic is just beyond comprehension. Here's the thing: Even qualified migrants/refugees will probably have to receive government support for 2, 3 years (ie best case scenario) before they can pay into the system. And even then it will take them quite a while to just - let's say - "reimburse" the government for previous services rendered. If a place like Germany accepts endless streams of migrants (which is what those on the left are calling for, after all everyone has a right to enjoy the benefits of living in Germany) while providing them with the same welfare benefits German citizens receive, what is going to be the end result? You don't have to be a Nobel Prize winning economist to recognize that such a system is going to implode within a relatively short period. And who will be the primary victims of such a collapse? Those left-wingers purport to speak for.

Guess the age of this unaccompanied minor:

If you said..."in his early 30s," you may have been right but his official age is 16. Wonder how many other minors are actually in their 30s, considering that it is next to impossible to deport a minor.

How is posting data on employment and a picture of migrants taking selfies while burning down their camp a disgrace? Can't handle the truth, eh?

Interesting comment by the head of Germany's Office for Migration. Initially wondered if this was some sort of satirical article.

"Das ist eine gute Bereicherung unserer Arbeitswelt und unserer Gesellschaft, dass da nicht überall ältere graue Herren durch die Gegend laufen und langsam mit dem Auto auf der Autobahn rumfahren, sondern das wird eine lebendige Gesellschaft."

"This will be a good addition to our labor force and society, that there won't be just be old grey men walking around and driving slowly on the autobahn, this will instead be a vibrant society."

http://www.welt.de/politik/deutschland/article148175570/So-besonnen-relativiert-Weise-die-Fluechtlingskrise.html

I wonder if he knows who pays his salary. Probably greying, older men.

In order for it to be a win-win, you need to have a proper immigration law in place. Just welcoming millions of people in the hope that there will be a select few engineers in the bunch is incredibly stupid. Virtually every study now shows that the majority of migrants will in all likelihood be on benefits for the foreseeable future.

Germany has one of the lowest birth rates in the world, so we're not talking about increasing the population here: stabilizing it would be good enough.

I still don't understand the logic behind this. The main concern about the graying of most western societies of course is that it becomes difficult to impossible to finance the pensions system. Now could somebody enlighten me as to how bringing in millions of people with little skills is going to change all of this? They will require government help as well. So essentially you're increasing the burden on the working population even further while, as someone else has mentioned, the people that are coming in right now will want to retire some day as well.

Merkel will use any excuse to not face reality. Shut the door to the EU and the flow will subside right away cause people won't spend €10,000 on a trip that might see them end up where they started in the first place.

Sweden says "take our migrants please", Denmark tells them to shut the f up and deal with a problem of their own making. http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=83&artikel=6296336

Sweden Tells Refugees `Stay in Germany' as Ikea Runs Out of Beds
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-11-06/sweden-tells-refugees-stay-in-germany-as-ikea-runs-out-of-beds

But Sweden, what about your duty to help all the people in the world? I think you simply have to place those refugees in private homes. Anyone that has more than 50 square meters to themselves can surely house a couple of migrants.

BTW, interesting to see how Merkel is now completely isolated across Europe.

So German interior minister de Maiziere has said that Dublin rules apply to Syrians again. He's also said he did all of this without asking Mama Merkel. SPD not happy, CDU in disarray.

Wow, Germans are really pushing the whole "fleeing the same terror we are experiencing now" narrative. Couple of weeks ago Assad was still behind the crisis, now it's all of a sudden ISIS. Moreover what sort of terror are they escaping when they cross from Slovenia into Austria?

I don't see how what he's saying is trolling. Apparently 2-3 of the Paris attackers came in as refugees. A government's job is to ensure the safety of its citizens. Germany is clearly not doing that by having a wide open border.

The guy shot and killed by French police last week had been living in the western German city of Recklinghausen as an asylum seeker.

As a German I have no trust in our government at all anymore. What's transpired over the last week is like a bad nightmare.

Sad stuff. 2 "refugees" on the German island of Fehmarn insulted and then robbed a Jewish French tourist. His only crime: wearing a kippah.

Austria introduces an upper limit of roughly 38,000 migrants. This "Obergrenze" has been at the center of the German migrant debate as well, with virtually everyone claiming it is inhumane and unconstitutional (remarkable how many constitutional scholars are in our parliament). Guess this means we'll be getting more of them.
