Tbh at this point there should just be a mass shooting megathread.

Sadly, I agree.

Sadly, I think we will see more and more such attacks in the west as long as ISIS is losing ground dramatically on the battlefields of the middle east. They need some psychological successes to recruit youngsters. Something they don’t have any more on a military basis, now they’re trying something new. Maybe it’s getting better once we have defeated this cancer on the battlefield and when we are better able to shut down most of their horrible internet propaganda. As I see it, the propaganda through the world wide web is one of the biggest problems in the battle against these thugs.

Horrible, absolutely disgusting. What kind of trash murders an innocent human being, an 84 year old defenseless human being.

ISIS is sub-human, full of barbarians that need to be wiped off the face of the earth. We need to defeat them on the battlefield and destroy their propaganda machine.

Definitely a "terror attack in [country] megathread", at least. Let's keep this one IMO.

Why was a convicted terrorist living at home with his mother, with an electronic tag on him?  He should have been in jail.  This is getting out of control.  It's an attack almost everyday in Europe at this point.

I wonder how this is going to affect tourism. My school cancelled their annual pilgrimage to France because of security concerns.

Imagine if a Christian in the West attacked a mosque and beheaded an Imam.  It would be national news and we would have people lining up to decry Islamophobia.

A priest is murdered by Isis in Paris?  Crickets...

What are our leaders going to do to secure our nations?  What we're doing now is. not. working.  What did the French Prime Minister say after the Nice attacks?  That the French are going to have to "Learn to Live" with terrorism.  That's not good enough.

What a tragedy! Sad Indeed, if these types of terrorist attacks will continue to occur, Marine Le Pen's National Front might eventually get a very large boost in the polls.

Frankly, France should ask the U.S. and especially Israel to lecture it on how to better conduct anti-terrorism. Indeed, the U.S. and especially Israel certainly have a lot of experience with this.

From an electoral point of view, this is the kind of stuff is gold for Front National and other far right parties. It suggests 'who are the ridiculous idiots here really?'.

Oh, of course it is. Nevermind that France's carceral system is already overcrowded and that going the American route is the opposite of what a responsible nation should do.

After the Paris attacks last November, a whole bunch of mosques in France were subjected to arson attacks.

I seem to recall this hardly even being noticed outside of France.

This kind of cognitive dissonance really doesn't help the situation in Europe at the moment.

Austria to extradite Pakistani over suspected Paris attack links

A Pakistani man suspected of links to the jihadists who killed 130 people in Paris in November will be extradited to France, an Austrian court spokesman said on Wednesday.

He and an Algerian man came into contact with the Paris attackers in Austria, Austrian newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten reported after the men were arrested in a refugee center in the city of Salzburg last December.

The Algerian man would also be extradited following a ruling by a court in Salzburg, news agency Austria Presse Agentur reported, but no one at that court was available for comment.

French newspaper Le Monde has reported that the two men traveled together from Syria to the Greek island of Leros with the two Iraqi brothers who blew themselves up near the Stade de France national stadium outside Paris on Nov. 13.

Also:

2 Syrian refugees (19 years old) have killed a 30-year old in Salzburg, after they tortured and robbed him in his home (they beat the sh*t out of him and dumped him in his bathtub):

Both have already confessed to the torture, robbery and killing.
