IN has given its electoral votes to the GOP candidate for president for the longest, if that's what you mean.  Vermont, of course, means "green mountain" and has always meant Green Mountain, if that's what you mean.

yeah I know.  I just thought maybe I shared Hitchabrut's sense of humor.  you know, Indiana is of course the answer to his question, but Vermont is a good jeu-des-mots.  er, um, wortspeil (Spiel von Wörtern)(?)
