Non-binding, unofficial poll. Apologies if you or your favored candidate isn't on this list, I only used people suggested in the Nomination/Brainstorm/Self-Promotion thread. I was also nominated, but I think Hagrid would be better and more universally popular.

Don't worry if your candidate isn't on the list, just select "other" and tell us who it is and why they're best, in the comments below.

While I appreciate my nomination by MPP Sanchez, I'll endorse Hagrid for President.

Why? Well, this whole time he's been one of the few voices for looking at things reasonably, not just going along with whatever choice is slightly more popular than the others. He's been open to looking at different ideas, and that's an important trait of a leader. Not to mention his experience in Atlasia--he knows how this stuff works, and more importantly, he knows what doesn't work. Hash would probably do quite well, too, but I think Hagrid's the best choice.

I think it's important to reiterate that the entire point of changing the Presidency Act to the Interim Presidency Act is so that we could quickly set up the basic framework of the presidency without having an extensive debate on the position or who will hold it.

Fair enough, but this is our first head of state. Presumably this person will have the inside track in becoming our first non-interim head of state. Maybe it isn't a decision that will have too many consequences later on, but it's not a decision to intentionally take lightly.

I think I speak for all of the party when I say that Hagrid would make a terrific President, and I would certainly consider supporting him for the position proper post-election but for now I think Hash is ideal as the interim candidate.

The SocLibs are certainly not opposed to a competitive election for president - we would welcome it. However, we, like most citizens are ready for an election. It's time to have a democratically elected parliament with a fully formed government and opposition.

We support Hash for the interim position and would for the permanent role if he would like it, but we want a robust process.

I would prefer Hagrid, but that is not a dig on Hash.
