I've got a friend who works in his office who told me that Abbott honestly doesn't have presidential ambitions, and he doesn't strike me as presidential material anyway.

I wouldn't immediately puke in disgust from the thought of a President Abbott like I would with President Perry, but I don't think he has that kind of ambition. Usually the people who would do well as President don't run while the people who shouldn't really be President do.

Probably not, but that's because most governors don't get elected President.

But I do think he'll make a run for it, as a big-state Governor with a conservative reputation, and a compelling story.

I'm unsure about the wheelchair thing--on the one hand, there's more media coverage now, but on the other hand, people are probably more accepting of people with disabilities.

Anyway, Mister Mets is basically right.
