yep.  Interestingly enough, I think if the Dems were to landslide again a map would look pretty close to this (except GOP gets Alaska, Texas)

Red - no occurance of the letter A
Blue - one occurance of the letter A
Green - multiple occurances of the letter A

...but there are several states for which this doesn't work.
