I do believe I could help form a good path for the party, so I'm running for leader.

The platform will be a work in progress, however, it will contain the basic values of ensuring liberty for all and promising good government for all. I call on all members of the party to help with fleshing the platform out in more detail.

Thank you!

Hmmm I'm not sure, in a parliamentary system the two are often the one in the same. You could have a parliamentary leader and a chairman.

They do it that way in Australia, IIRC.

And I fully support Talleyrand for Parliamentary leader, whilst I take the Chairman position.

Salutations! Cheesy

As for the party symbol, I think we should punt on that till the national flag is designed.

I don't see the reasons for a delay, to be honest, all of the other parties have decided on logos.

However, we do have an interim banner, so if we go into an election shortly we can always use that to get us through.

I think the question, at least for me, is whether we use a nice text logo (like the Conservatives and Workers Party), or a more symbolic logo.

It seems odd that the Party Chairman would be term limited, but the Parliamentary Leader isn't (the latter the more important position). I'm honestly against term limits, especially this early on. If the party wants to remove the chairman, they can do a no confidence vote.

And I remove myself from this election for Chairman, and put forward myself as a member of the executive.

I second Barnes for Chairman.

Amigos,

I would like to thank all of you for attending our conference - it's a humbling experience seeing all of you. I would also like to thank our esteemed and most excellent leader, Talleyrand. His speech tomorrow will be one of strong note.

Over the past month, our party, along with our country, has experienced amazing change. Having our first elections was a key brick in the wall towards a strong democracy. I am proud that the Social Liberals gave a strong performance, as well; however, I'm even prouder of what we did after the elections - we joined with the largest party in order to ensure South America would have a strong, able first government. It wasn't a time for politics - our country's political future was at risk.

Governing, although, is the most important matter - and we have governed well. We are transforming this country in a powerful way - and we won't stop. We look forward to a continuing both.

¡Adelante!,
Vega, Party Executive & MP.
