24 hours for nominations to the positions of Party Leader and General Secretary.

I third the nomination of Crabcake for Leader, and second the nomination of Cranberry for General Secretary.

I accept the nomination for General Secretary, and support the nomination of comrade CrabCake as leader.

Cranberry, not that I disagree with any of those proposals, but some of them feel superfluous. I prefer the relatively pared back platform, although your first amendent is my favourite of the three.

Yeah, you're probably right about that. As Comrade Sibboleth said, it will probably be better to include something similar to that in our election manifesto.

What I still would like to see in our short platform however is an adress to the question of federalism/centralism/ generally the question of how to organise South America, with all that that entails (common currency or freedom of movement, for example, which will certainly prove to be difficult questions which need a strong, unified, socialist answer)

Cranberry would make a fine first General Secretary I feel. He has the enthusiasm and drive required.

Nominations are now closed.

Party Leader:

Crabcake

General Secretary:

Cranberry

Now a question, do we want to vote or should we just give the positions to Crabcake and Cranberry?

Its an uncontested election so there is no need for a vote.

Alright, thank you for your support!

Later today I will open up our first convention, so we can then discuss any matters that might/will arise, including elections to the National Executive and the party list.
