Frankly the best dystopia is America right after Atlasia collapses.

Given the way Atlasia ended, we could all be debating how best to survive nuclear winter. Wink

I think it's best if we keep it US-based. That's what the majority of us are familiar with and probably most comfortable with, I'd wager.

Which of those constituencies would be the most 'industrialized' of the zones, Hash? Unfortunately I'm not well versed in Latin American geography, but I think that (as I'll be running as an Old Left-style communist), I'd need to contest whichever seat that would roughly correspond to.

Okay, here's the deal with the first election. I thought it would be a good idea to have everyone in the game run for a seat, but I'm an idiot. That would just lead to everyone voting for themselves.

The plan I raised in IRC was this: for our first election, we just run a national party list. It still has the same problem as everyone voting for themselves, but the intrigue that matters is the list order. In other words, people need to join parties and figure out who should get elected and who shouldn't.

We can "apportion" out the constituencies once the election's over. Party list leaders have priority in choosing a seat. Registration by constituency for all will also be available.

Thoughts?

I really like this idea, as it strengthens our potential party system.

I like it, but one thing I think that would make a bit more sense would be to put Agriculture with the Environment. Perhaps something more along the lines of the following:

- Prime Minister
- Minister for Foreign Relations and Defense
- Minister for Labor and Employment
- Minister for Economy, Commerce, and Finance
- Minister for Transportation, Communication, Housing, and Energy
- Minister for Interior and Justice
- Minister for Agriculture and the Environment
- Minister for Health, Education, and Culture

That also sounds good. One of the downfalls of Atlasia was too many offices with too few people to staff them. Let's avoid that in Mock Parliament.

I also support either adding another member (in case of ties) or a formal Speaker position for a non-MP.
