Due to rocedural errors Croatia’s constitutional court has revoked the verdicts that sentenced former ex-premier Ivo Sanader (HDZ) to 8,5 years in prison for abuse of office, war profiteering and bribery. He was in office 2003-09.

Bad news. Now the trial has to start over and he might go free. It was an important symbol in the fight against corruption that a former PM could actually get convicted.
