Major political parties:
Surprisingly still the same but foreign compared to their modern day counterparts, much like how the political parties of the 1800's wouldn't exist today as their movement accelerated. As The Christian Right came and went, the political parties look more like how they looked during the early half of the 20th century, mostly focusing on economics and foreign policy (currently the most emphasized issues), while some hot button social issues remain.

Democratic Party: Socialist, progressive, globalist. Some of the 20th century Communist states would be the best comparison to any system representing this party platform, although it remains unlike any other party we've seen, as it is anti-nationalistic and anti-industrialist. Claims to be the heir to Jefferson's vision but is about as close to Jefferson as Trump was to Abraham Lincoln.

Socially: Revolutionary
Economic: Left-wing-Far Left
Foreign Policy: Globalist, Peaceful
Societal Axis: Very Authoritarian

Republican Party: Some weird mashup between the Conservative Coalition of the Early 20th century GOP, the former Dixiecrats, some elements of Fascism. It claims to be a successor to Alexander Hamilton.

Socially: Right-wing-Reactionary
Economic: Center-Center Left (By 2022 standards)
Foreign Policy: Isolationist, Ultranationalist, Imperialist
Societal Axis: Very Authoritarian

Party relations:
At an all time low. It makes the aftermath of the 2020 election look peaceful in comparison. Just being a certain political affiliation could get you killed depending on the area. Heavily politicized and divided to levels never seen before. Most people only live among those they agree with, unless they are quiet/respectful. Most people, particularly Democrats are welcoming of visitors, although most people of the opposing party avoid discussing politics unless they are moving there. Most minority Democrats are also advised not to stop in Republican areas unless it is absolutely necessary and never to enter through at night.

Societal Axis:
Democrats: Largely globalist and internationalist, although remaining authoritarian. Dissents in Democratic areas are sometimes seen as a threat and subjected to interrogation, torture, and in some cases death.

Republicans: Ultranationalist, communitarian, with a touch of federalism, although also authoritarianism. Republican led areas are reminiscent of The Wild West/Jim Crow South where outsiders are subjected to ostrazation, as well as the possibility of lynching if they are found to be a threat to the party. Blacks and Native Americans are more of a threat to them than whites/latinos, as the Democratic party has become almost exclusively multicultural in comparison to the largely white/latino Republican party, although minorities are welcome as long as they follow the party platform.

Abortion:
Democrat: Pro-abortion due to population control
Republican: Mainly pro-life, but with a pro-eugenics wing

Racial Issues:
Democrat: Pro-reparations. Under a previous Democratic administration, a reparation's program was developed as well as land redistribution to historically Black areas. Private property was abolished and landsettlers in the developed areas, particularly in the South were usually forced at gunpoint to evacuate their property and move elsewhere. Women were initially included as part of the reperations program, but were removed after record numbers of men transitioned to receive financial benefits, although trans women before the law was enacted continue to receive financial benefits. They are paid through an increased income tax on those making >$1 million. Despite widespread opposition, the Democrats pointed to Andrew Jackson and said that if he did it with Native Americans, they could do it to Whites. Latinos have assimilated and are commonly referred to by Dems as "white supremacists with a tan", although some older Latinos, particularly females support the party in higher numbers compared to other whites.

Republican: Supports the return of private property. Segregation is now an issue, as local lawmakers put in laws prohibiting foreigners, particularly targeting those of certain regions from moving in, as a reaction to the increasing migration. Some areas have formed local militias to keep foreigners out and sundown laws are reinforced in some Republican areas, although nobody outside of a few shock jocks have advocated for legal or racial genocide.

LGBT rights: No longer a winning issue, no longer discussed. Transphobes are about as outcasted as misogamists' are currently in our time period. Homophobia is about as accepted as Nazis are currently in our time period.

Religion:
Democrats: Not as widespread or talked about in public as it once was. A lot of folk religions/atheism and New Age is widespread throughout the party. Conservative Muslims/Jews are now as ostracized as Evangelicals, although there are secular Christians/Muslims/Jews still part of the party. Evangelicalism is frowned upon and preaching The Gopsel in some areas is seen as inciting a hate crime, leading to imprisonment.

Republicans: Most party members follow one of the major Abrahamaic religions (Christianity, Judaism, Muslim), although there are people of other religions and most people are accepting of those of other religious beliefs, as long as they are respectful of the party platform. The Christian Right was seen as a "Boomer phase" and is not popular, although most whites are Christians due to ancestral connections. Religion as a whole is no longer relevant in American life. People are no longer sympathetic or understanding of alternative religious views and such views are usually associated with extremism of some kind.

Healthcare/Welfare:
A prior Democratic president successfully abolished private insurance several times. The Human Dignity Plan also produced a robust welfare state including guaranteed healthcare, education, UBI, housing, job, etc. Luxuries including hobbies and vacationing is rare due to excessive taxation/regulation. Still most people survive and poverty has been eradicated, although most people are just above the poverty line.

Republicans: Most Republicans oppose The Human Dignity Plan, although they favor a scaled back welfare plan, similar to one seen in Scandinavia. They are also opposed to foreigners receiving welfare or government benefits, something the Human Dignity Plan accomplished. Privatizing/cutting welfare is an extremely fringe viewpoint only held by a small number of hardcore conservatives.

Schools:
Democrats support school choice and allowing parents to choose where to send their children, including internationally, although there are registration periods because teachers have a limit of 30 students in a classroom. Education requirements are no longer nationalized and focus on global solutions.

Republicans: With their communitarian nature, they oppose sending children to out of district schools. Due to their strong support for their states and communities, public school educators have trended Republican, in contrast to the Democrat's more globality model of education. Support for vouchers for religious schools are largely on religious lines, although conservatives are more supportive of the idea than liberals.

Environment:

Democrats: Supports large scale sacrifices including seasonal stay at home orders and significant cutting of carbon emissions/banning of non renewables to combat climate change. They also support the right to move and the protection of historically minority areas/neighborhoods. Most are weary of new construction projects as it infringes on the land reserved for minorities, although guaranteed housing means that there is no more homelessness, despite cities and even suburban areas being more crowded than prior.

Republicans: Opposes government intervention and supports combating climate change through free enterprise. They are strongly opposed to foreigners and are extremely xenophobic. It is not unusual for Blacks or Natives to be killed or arrested for simply passing through the area, especially at night. Most Republicans support widespread private property to build new neighborhoods, as urban and even suburban areas in the Northern half of the US/Canada is overcrowded due to climate refugees.

Criminal Justice:

Democrats: Most crimes have been legalized and the criminal justice system is particularly focused on preventing dissent. Unlike many Republican areas, whites including Republican's are welcomed, although it is widely known that they have to follow/respect the rules to remain a part of their communities.

Republicans: The law & order politics of the 20th century is gone, although most are in favor of the current (2022) criminal justice system. Psychedelic's including mushrooms/lsd have been legalized even in Republican areas, although most hard drugs that could kill someone remains to be illegal. There is more of a rehabilitative than punitive measure for these drugs though. Most lynchings/racial crimes are not directed through law enforcement or the government and are reminiscent of Jim Crow America. Most citizens of Rep areas are also armed.

Gun Control: No longer relevant. Most people in both Dem/Rep areas are armed to the teeth because of ongoing political battles. Turf wars more common in areas including Mexico are commonplace. Unlike what it seems like from reading this post, most people are in favor of peace and people in both areas are welcoming, although Republicans are highly distrustful of outsiders and its only a rowdy few that commit most of the violence in both areas.

Immigration:

Democrats support open borders, as well as the abolishment of nations. They have (although unsuccessfully), pushed for a global nation through the UN where discrimination is illegal. Canada's government had open borders and early in the 2090's, it became part of the US due to increasing migration over the second half of the 21st century.

Republicans support a moratorium on new immigration, as well as the deportation of all non-native citizens prior to 2065 (the year immigration became widespread). Republican budget bills have also refused to fund international programs such as The UN/NATO. Some local areas, particularly near the Canadian border have also seen a revival of the KKK in order to intimidate people from passing through, although unlike the prior incarnations, they focus more on local identity rather than ethnic identity, while they accept Latinos, Catholics, Muslims, and Jews into their ranks. The KKK also drives most of the area crime/murders. The new KKK surge was instigated by a 2084 decision at the RNC convention that year refusing to condemn the KKK, which was growing during that decade, as well as during the 2070's. Some have called for the forced sterilization of new residents as well.

Trade:

Democrats support unlimited free trade, as well as unlimited foreign relations.

Republicans support a moratorium of free trade and automation, meant to protect local industry/needs, as well as banning jobs from moving overseas. They also support the destruction of local resources in order to help industry, including imperialism if necessary.

Military:

Democrats support the stripping of the military in favor of a global agreement with the promise of eradicating war.
Republicans support a strong, but humble defense system. They are generally isolationist although they "speak softly and carry a big stick", using force, sometimes excessively if they feel as if their resources are threatened.

Voting:
The disregard for democracy continue. Democrats rig the elections like Maduro, while the GOP has also subscribed to their own form of illiberal democracy, although both give lip service to democracy. Watergate type scenarios are commonplace within the GOP and whoever does the most rigging wins. Paranoia is high as both major parties have a history of wiretapping their opponents, so surprises and strategies are often leaked before they are tried. There hasn't been a free election since at least the middle of the 21st century, despite the appearance of free/open elections including ballot access for third parties and no widespread voting suppression tactics. Elections at the surface seem similar to how they always have, although the corruption that occurs is far worse than anything we've seen in this country in a long time. Whenever an incumbent is defeated, there are calls of "rigs" and "stopping steals/counts", although most politicians are smart enough to not let their defeat lead to chaos. There have been cases of some Republican leaders hiring people to "help" new residents vote, particularly in areas with a high KKK presence, although even in these areas such Jim Crow style measures are fortunately rare.
Despite this ,  most Republicans oppose  foreigners voting in
elections., despite  the passage of the Human Dignity Act.

Democrats support automatic voting registration and no voter ID required for voting.

Republicans continue to support the voting suppression measures currently used by some red states.

Animal Rights:
Animals are largely seen as equal to humans and the number of people who hunt for meat is down significantly, although some people still enjoy doing so.

Democrats: Some Democratic mayors/governors have banned meat eating in their states.

Republicans: Most remain indifferent

Industry:

Democrats: Largely opposed to big business/manufacturing due to environmental concerns. Factories are now about as hated as coal is. Most supporters support farming, as well as preserving their environment. Most land in Democratic areas are protected and even in areas where hunting is legal, most Democratic leaders have put banned on many areas in order to prevent extinction. Most businesses that exist are nationalized/collectivized under Democratic administrations to prevent greed and businesses getting shutdown shut down due to government opposition is not uncommon. Banks were broken up, some big bankers were jailed for corruption, and the Democrats established a maximum wage, as well as other policies meant to prevent corporate greed. Under the Democrat's new laws, the CEO of a company can only make 10x the amount of the lowest paid employee. There are no more billion or trillionaires and the few millionaires that exist were mostly ones who happened to win the lottery. Campaign finance and reform laws were also passed and most members of Congress don't make any more than the average attorney.

Republican: Largely in favor of manufacturing and job production, particularly in the STEM fields as most modern day factory jobs are gone due to automation. Most people support free enterprise, as well as repealing the maximum wage and nationalization of business, although corporatism and neo-Luddism is popular within some wings due to concerns about globalism/globalization, as well as the automation crisis that occurred earlier in the century.   Most view free enterprise as the solution to the overcrowding of urban areas as well, although slums in Democratically run cities do not exist due to their successful housing initative.

Economic System:

Democrats range from centrists (Democratic Socialists) to progressives (Communists). Most are somewhere in the middle, with Eco Socialism being popular. Some Warren-type progressive capitalists are still in the party, although most of them are over the age of 75 and no longer politically active.

Republicans are mainly capitalists with a growing wing supporting corporatism. Despite the presence/support of corporatism, the GOP has yet to elect a corporatist president. Most corporatists are from The Midwest/Northeast and tend to be younger and not as educated.

Current (2100) trends:
White including Latino men normally give Reps close to 70% of the vote.
White including Latina women consistently give Dems in the range of the mid-upper 50's with some elections where they could win 60% of the vote.
Black's vote Dem by around 70-80% with heavy gender and religious differences.
Evangelical black men are a political bellwether
Black women are consistently Democratic, although not as much as they are now.
Native American's are swing voters despite the Democrats virtue signaling, although they lean towards the Dems.
Asian's are similar to where they are now politically, giving Dems around 65-75% of the vote. Despite being a minority group, most Dems don't pay attention to them, but they also don't trigger the xenophobia that certain Republicans show towards other groups. If Muslim's count as Asians, they tend to favor Republicans, however most Asian groups remain firmly in the Democratic camp.

The year is 2100. Climate change has led to significant temperature increases. Boston is more similar to Dallas temperature wise. Heat waves can bring temperatures upwards of 100 degrees during the Winter as far north as The Carolinas in January, and the Arctic circle remains above freezing for up to 6 months out of the year and even during the shorter winters, temps can still reach above freezing during warmer periods of time. Due to increasing temperatures, the US west of I-35 is largely unpopulated as significantly lower snowfall has led to lower reservoir level leading to drought, particularly during the Summer and a larger/longer wildfire season which has stretched east towards the Red Wall, including parts of Texas. Also what was once known as "Dixie" is also significantly less populated, as intense heatwaves with temps higher than 100 degrees are widespread during the Summer and Hurricane season is now year round. This has led to a humanitarian crisis, as people have moved North at significant paces, as well as from Central America. Some people, particuarly older settlers from the South return as snowbirds during the dead of Winter, although many find it too hot before meteorological Spring begins. There are now beach birds, which flock to currently Arctic areas to escape the brutal heat Summer can bring.

This part alone makes this a Ultra HT (Horrible Timeline). Hurricanes need ocean temperatures of at least 80 F to form and survive, so the possibility of Gulf Coast tropical storms in February scares the S019 out of me.

Latinos voting equally R as Non-Hispanic Whites is a cursed racial alignment, as is (implied) more thorough polarization of Asians along Abrahamic vs Dharmic/Unaffiliated lines. Worst part has to be Asians being ignored/neglected by both parties.
