Considering Clinton has 100% name recognition and is getting around 45-47%, it can be assumed that she will probably lose the state by around 3-5 to your generic R.

You say in essence that she has basically maxed out. But how good are those Republican candidates?

North Carolina was extremely close in both 2008 and 2012 -- and will likely be so again.

The GOP should have large leads in NC over Dems, but they dont, shows their weakness.

So now we're using name recognition to "unskew" polls? That's brilliant, that must be why Obama's prospects in 2012 only went down as the election approached. Wait... Well, nice try, anyway.

The GOP party has its hands full with Jeb, who obviously isnt Dubya.  Who hasnt lead in a single poll thus far, even in a GOP state like NC.

That's fair. Polls are meant to be display of the election at this point in time. Right now, Hillary isn't doing as well as she's done in the past, doesn't mean she can't improve. It also doesn't mean 2016 will be an exact replica of 2012 either, though.

Who cares about name recognition for a poll about an election 16 months away? Seriously.

I'm not exactly sure how name recognition really is a good indicator of anything, since presidential races usually are not decided on that. By the time election day rolls around, both candidates are at near universal name recognition.

Everytime I read the "analysis" of a poll by Atlas, I die a little on the inside.

Then give your own analysis.
