So who do you think it will be? Out of the possibles I want Davis the least. I've heard Rifkinds name floated but that's unlikely; if they pick a europhile it will be Clarke, which is still highly unlikely. They could be shy about going with Osborne or Cameron, both in thier mid 30's, because of Hague's youth(although I think that's a big mistake, nobody could mistake Hague for these two, and the party needs a young handsome face). I added May just to have a woman's name in there.

I think that Cameron will get it; he's Howard's favourite and I suspect that that's the reason Howard wanted to stay on and reform the voting method for the leader, to insure his man gets it.

Yeah, he's the least of the two. He looks better when he thins down.

By the way everyone, I would have included Boris Johnson, but he's not exactly popular with the powers-that-be at the moment. I would definately support him if he were in the running.

Iain Duncan Smith will be back! This is his first step towards the PM position.  Smiley

Seriously though, I don't know.

I voted Kenneth Clarke, mainly because he's the one I know the most about. Oliver Letwin and Theresa May sound okay too, but we liberals shouldn't forget what happened the last time the Tories put up a female candidate:)

I think the Tories will choose David Davis, and the media have certainly done their part in portraying him as a leader-in-waiting.  However, the only Tory MP who looks remotely like a potential Prime Minister is David Cameron.
