The person getting hurt the most by Trump is Cruz. In every poll released since Trump the one who drops the most since previous poll is Cruz.   That is why Ted won't attack Trump.

Cruz won't attack the crazy stuff Trump says simply because he actually believes all of it himself. Even The Donald doesn't believe that every single latino is a rapist, yet Cruz is stupid enough to believe it. Cruz thinks that just because he's Hispanic by name and as far right as the Kansas God Hates Fags! brigade, he will naturally win this time. Well news flash, he won't.

HuffPo trendlines, including all national polls:

So, Bush and Trump on the upswing, Rubio and Walker on the downswing.

I want to bump this thread because YouGov was the first mainstream pollster to show Trump in the lead this election cycle.

I find it interesting how low third place finisher Kasich was then.

Hardly anyone knew who he was back then.

Since Trump announced, I always had faith that he would end up being one of the last three or four candidates standing, that Rubio and Cruz would rise (the former slowly becoming the establishment favorite), and that Jeb's support would steadily decline as the primaries got closer, so I guess my estimations weren't that far off.  Though I also fully expected Walker to be around in the final contests and I thought Huckabee would get at least a respectable showing in Iowa.  Kasich was supposed to take Walker's place as the first serious candidate to drop out.

Oh yes, and I also thought Rand would do at least as well at his father if not slightly better... not substantially worse.

All things considered, my predictions were better than at least half of the media analysts - especially those who were writing Trump off and trying to delegitimize him.  Nate Silver is such a WASTE.
