Not just an endorsement where they generally be nice to the candidate they don't endorse. They crushed Sanders, basically calling him unfit for office

Wonderful article he wrote as well giving his reasons why he decided to support Bernie (he praises Hillary too)

That should help him secure a win in Oregon.

In the same way Welch's endorsement secured Vermont, yes.

Still a nice endorsement. Sanders should be happy about this one.

I think endorsement are over-rated in the victory race - In the sense, that even if the entire Oregon establishment goes against Sanders, he would still comfortably win Oregon. So it does not make a huge difference IMO.

But it's great finally to have en endorsement from 1 senator atleast!

Uh... if anything that makes this MORE likely... Strategic triangulators strategically triangulate.

To me that actually puts him on the map - unifies the party. I didn't think about Merkley for veep before this, actually.

I have a feeling that Hillary's VP choice is going to be primarily based on who she thinks will be the best Vice President.

In other words - Tim Kaine.

Smiley

Not sure how much weight Pataki still carries in NY, but he is the first former candidate to endorse Kasich. That in itself is notable.

Btw, NBC has confirmed this:

And they're using the classic Pivot Defense. A risky game to play.
