This sceanrio would have helped Wallace immensly. Humphrey and Wallace took votes from one another due to Unions and industrial workers in the North. McCarthy was not well liked by these Unions, and thus Wallace could have done remarkably better in some states such as Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and New Jersey.

Wallace would have had very good chance at Michigan (he won it in the 72 primaries) so I would put it at Nixon >30% MINIMUM...
