I think Bill Clinton would be a potential candidate if Vice President or Governor Obama were running to replace Hillary, but that isn't the world we live in so my points moot.

I doubt that a President of the U.S. or any leader of a country that has a permanent Security Council seat will ever become Secretary-General. Too much power would be centralized with one country.

After all, we wouldn't like it if Hu Jintao became the new Secretary-General, would we?
