With all the controversy over the courts, I thought I would do results based on how each circuit voted.  I'll start with 2004 and go backwards.



Note: DC is its own Circuit, and Alaska and Hawaii are part of the Western circuit.  If you want the raw data, just PM me.

Don't forget that befiore 1980, the 11th Circuit was part of the 5th and that before 1929  the 10th circuit was part of the 8th.

Maybe we should abolish the Supreme Court's appellate jurisdiction, except in matters of what federal laws are constitutional, and let state governors appoint the judges to the circuit courts.

Maybe we should abolish the Supreme Court's appellate jurisdiction, except in matters of what federal laws are constitutional, and let state governors appoint the judges to the circuit courts.

I think governors should appoint district courts judges, but federal congress has to approve them.

Either proposal, in my opinion, would upset the system of checks and balances.
