Definitely more like those in England. American free speech laws are way too permissive.

Agreed. Libel seems way more serious when you're the one being targeted.

 ... of all the crimes, the fanatic lawlessness exemption takes the longest in time to square; the Clinton Racketeering in the Obama justice era does serve as the "how to" exploit, the main reason for a hilliary presidency, to protect their law.

 The anonymous speed to which libel can be applied today is very different from the times of 'forgive those that have trespassed against us', that is equally in speed wanting disregard, it just isn't profitable for the law.

More lenient. I subscribe to the notion that libel/slander laws are almost presumptively unconstitutional. I agree with Justice Black in his concurrence in New York Times Co. v. Sullivan.
