Tony Blair announced on Sky News that:

"I have never told a lie. No. I don't intend to go telling lies to people. I did not lie over Iraq."

So who never told a lie? Washington or Blair? Smiley

Well the cherry chopping story is in itself a lie Wink

I've never seen any evidence that Blair actually lied over Iraq, although I'm fairly sure he was lying through his teeth when as PPC for Sedgefield in 83 he defended the entire Labour manifesto Wink

I concur with Al on that point and add my own that everyone has lied at some point or another.

Actually, I am in possession of the axe that Washington used to chop down the tree.  Well, the handle was burned in a housefire, and had to be replaced.  And the head was lost and had to be replaced as well.  But it occupies the same space.  Intrinsically.  Want to buy it?  If so, you might also be the sort who believes Washington and Blair.

Iran, anyone?  Wink
