Welcome to the forum, jdb!

Being from her southern neighbor, Oklahoma, I haven't heard much from my friends from Kansas on her status or her chances for 2006.  I have heard that she would be a good candidate for Vice President in either 2008 or 2012.

Republicans are probably not too worried about Kansas, because most Democrats from Kansas are moderate, if not conservative.  Same is true from Oklahoma.  (There are always exceptions to every rule). Even with a Democratic Governor, it will be very hard to move Kansas out of the Republican column in Presidential elections.  The only way it would be a little easier, is if they were to elect two Democrat Senators plus a Democrat Governor.  Not likely to happen.  Oklahoma has a better chance of that, and thats only because Oklahoma has more registered Democrats than Republicans.
