Bernie Sanders 2016
Campaign Schedule, Week of October 1st, 2015

We need a President who will fight the unacceptable levels of income inequality that decades of right wing policies have left us, not a President who will uphold those extremist positions and exacerbate the issue. Too many Americans are struggling as it is and we must pursue policies that will help uplift those Americans just tying to get by, instead of rewarding the crooks on Wall Street and the billionaire class for their "generous" campaign contributions.  What we need is not a deregulated financial sector, but a living wage. We need a federal jobs program, not a massive tax cut for the wealthy few. A college education that our students can actually afford. Health care for all, so that getting sick isn't a prescription for economic ruin. As your President, I will bring a voice for the voiceless into the White House, not another voice for corporate interests. Thank you, and don't forget to vote!" -Senator Bernie Sanders in Des Moines, IA.

"We as a nation should reject dynastic politics. An election should be about the issues that our facing this nation such as the completely unacceptable growing gap between the wealthy few and everyone else, human contribution to Climate Change, the perversion of campaign finance laws that has resulted in the abhorrent "Democracy for Hire" that we have to live with today where corporations can hijack elections to turn a quick profit. Those issues that so many Americans are struggling with should be what we, as a nation, base our votes on, not a candidate's last name." - Senator Bernie Sanders in Manchester, NH.

Bernie Sanders 2016
Bernie Sanders TV Ad "Vote"
Airing in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina

Female Narrator:In America, we're privileged to have the right to do something that so many around the world can't, decide who are voices are in government.

But in a time when an entire political party is attempting to suppress that sacred right in order to win elections by instituting voter ID laws that are intended to disenfranchise as many seniors, students, and minorities as possible so that they can enact their far right agenda, your vote is more important than ever.

So make sure to get out and vote.

But don't just vote, vote for the candidate that is committed to ensuring that our fundamental Democratic right is protected from extremist ideologues who are bent on giving further tax breaks to the wealthy while everyone else struggles. Vote for Senator Bernie Sanders.

Bernie Sanders: I'm Bernie Sanders and I approve this message, because the billionaire class already have a seat at the table, it's time for the Middle and Working classes to have one as well.

Bernie Sanders 2016
Official Statement on the Loss of Walter Mondale

With the passing of Walter Mondale, our nation has lost a lifelong advocate for hard working Americans. Throughout his decades of public service, Walter Mondale always put the people before politics and it showed. Walter Mondale represented the good of public service, and while he may no longer be on Earth, his legacy lives on in every American who entered public service inspired by his passion for the welfare of Americans relegated to the margins of society and his hope for a brighter future.

Bernie Sanders 2016
Campaign Schedule, Week of October 8th, 2015

Thursday, October 8th, 2015
- Barnstorm in Milford, NH
- Town Hall in Goffstown, NH
- Town Hall in Exeter, NH
- Rally at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH (with Secretary Robert Reich)

"While the billionaire class is doing better than ever, and gearing up to spend historic amounts of money purchasing campaigns, everyone else is being squeezed. Real wages are stagnant, and when you account for those who've had such a hard time finding a job that they've simply given up, our unemployment rate is far too high. I support a federal jobs plan that will put millions Americans back to work by investing in our crumbling infrastructure. Our nation chose to spend over five trillion dollars to fight a war based on false pretenses in Iraq, we should choose to spend one trillion creating jobs for those desperately in need of one."

Friday, October 9th, 2015
- Appearance on a local NH radio station
- Town Hall in Claremont, NH
- Meet and Greet in Berlin, NH

Radio Host: Senator Sanders, how do you respond to the passage of the trade deal known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership?

Bernie Sanders: "I'm going to be blunt with you here, the Trans-Pacific Partnership is a disgrace. It's a poorly veiled attempt for multinational corporations to further pad their pockets while while so many of our workers lose their jobs, as if horrible agreements like NAFTA weren't already enough. It's shameful that members of both parties consciously chose corporate profit over the welfare of our workers. "

Radio Host: How do you feel about Obamacare, Senator?

Bernie Sanders: "In this country, the wealthiest on the planet, healthcare should be a right,  not a privilege for those who are fortunate enough to afford it. I believe that the ACA is a definitive step in the right direction, but it simply does not go far enough. Our citizens deserve healthcare from the day they are born all the way through their old age, and we already have a great program that is capable of providing that: Medicare. Nobody should go bankrupt because they contracted an illness."

Bernie Sanders 2016
Radio Ad

Airing in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Florida

Bernie Sanders: Hello, my name is Senator Bernie Sanders, candidate for President of the United States of America. Yet another affront on our workers, this time an agreement knows as the Trans-Pacific Partnership has just passed Congress. This is great news if your a giant multinational corporation who stands to boost profit, but if you a worker in this country already reeling from the detrimental effects of deals like NAFTA, this is awful news. It's time that we had a President who will ensure that everybody has a voice in Government, not just huge corporations who employ scores of lobbyists to ensure that their agenda is disproportionally heard. If you believe that the welfare of our own citizens should be at the top of our agenda, not the profit margins of behemoth banks, oil companies and the like, I encourage you to vote to make your voices heard on Primary ((Caucus when airing in IA)) Day. I approve this message.

- Town Hall in Lexington, SC
- Barnstorm in Irmo, SC

"What we need is a minimum wage that our workers can actually survive on. Republicans should be ashamed of themselves for aligning themselves against so many Americans working hard and yet not earning enough to live on. Even worse, the Koch brothers and other far-right extremists aren't happy with preventing a raise for so many, they're dead set on eliminating the minimum wage all together, because they believe in an America where corporations can exploit their employees as much as they like, if they can smell corporate profit. As President I will stand up to the far-right fringe that has sadly taken over Congress and fight for a living wage."

Saturday, October 17th, 2015
- Barnstorm in Pembroke, NH
- Meet and Greet in Swanzey, NH
- Town Hall in Pymouth, NH
- Town Hall in Hopkinton, NH

- Flight to Des Moines, IA

"For years I have defended our seniors from Republican attempts to gut Social Security, because I believe that everyone deserves an economically stable retirement. What we must do is not slash the benefits that so many depend on for survival, but lift the payroll tax cap because right now, someone earning $117 thousand pays the same payroll tax rate as someone earning $17 million. If you lift the cap, we're solvent for 75 years and we can have a well needed increase in benefits for those still struggling to have a stable retirement after working so many years so that future generations could prosper."

Monday, October 19th, 2015
Appearance on local Iowa radio

- Flight to Washington, DC

"I quite like Bruce's song Death to My Hometown as it tells the story of so many communities across our country who fell victim to the greedy crooks on Wall Street. Their reckless actions directly led to the suffering of millions and what was their punishment? A slap on the wrist. Those behemoth banks are now bigger than ever and making the same careless gambles that harmed so many of us in 2008 because they understand that no matter how many lives that ruin, they can always secure a bailout if times get tough. We need to end this economic hostage taking and break up the humongous banks. If you're too big too fail, you're too big to exist."
