Can't believe I'm still number 6 despite all the extended breaks I've taken.

You are Number Six.

Also, 1457 posts for olawakandi in the last 30 days.  He's inching closer to a 50 posts/day posting rate.

He's now over 1600 posts in the last 30 days.  Maybe he'll slow down a little once the primary race subsides, but would be remarkable if he manages to keep this up all the way to November.

Perhaps he was upgraded to a more powerful server.

for some godforesaken reason I'm now 6th in the most posts over the past 30 days thing.

I was shocked when somebody pointed out earlier that I was in 3rd place on that list.  There are a bunch of us clustered close together in 3rd-10th, way behind the Big Two.

How many posts did you make yesterday? On one day prior in this month I reached over 100.

26, which looks like it's close to my average lately (693 over the last 30 days = 23.1 per day).

Activity on the forum dropped in April compared to the previous month, but it was still way up compared to four years ago.  Coronavirus is helping us beat 2016, which itself was quite an unusually busy election year because of Trump.

It's interesting that there were many fewer new members in April than previous months. Better not protection, or the name change affecting it?

Yes, although you're not far behind.  You can see the last-30-day stats (and others) at https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?action=stats.

By the way, what the heck happened on June 27th, 2018?

Justice Kennedy announced his retirement.

We've now hit 80,000 posts for the month of October, and seem very likely to hit 90,000 by month's end at this rate.  To reiterate, the previous record for a single month was only 66,370 in October 2016, so that record is being absolutely shattered.

Why are you people posting so much?  Tongue

I got curious about who was the most prolific poster from each Atlas "class" (year of registration).  This is what I came up with after a quick scroll down the list of users sorted by post count.  Apologies if I missed anyone.

It seems I only last month took the top spot in the 2015 class.
Thanks for the list. Interesting stuff.

Looking at my own class (2008) is actually what got me started on this.  NC Yankee's 50K+ posts make him the class leader by a huge margin; second-place PiT is just below 30K, then there are three of us in the low 20K's.

Here’s a little list I compiled for fun.  It shows the top 5 users in post count by “class”, i.e. year of registration.  Some caveats:

  • Only users with at least 5000 posts are included.  As a result, the class of 2021 only has a top 2, while 2022 and 2023 don’t have anyone.
  • I used the member list off the main forum page, which I think excludes banned users.
  • For the sake of consistency, I used usernames; many of these people are better known by their display names.
  • Post counts were as of the time I looked at that user, and obviously will be changing.
  • Apologies if I missed anyone!

If you feel like investing the time in it, I think a lot of people would appreciate seeing the rest of the cohorts.
