At least Conway knows that he is a proud Democrat, which Grimes failed miserably at, and caused voter apathy when she wouldn't acknowledge Obama for president.

There is also an indy running in the race, which may take votes away from Bevin or Cromer.

There was a libertarian in the 2014 senate race. They generally take votes away from republicans, yet McConnell still cleared 55%. Relying on third parties to "lift you to a win" is always an unreliable strategy.

You're right. Grimes would've pulled it out if only she would've stuck to her convictions. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Kentucky was Blowout City and "apathy" doesn't cause that big of a swing, especially in Kentucky where she ran on the right side of almost every issue.

The poll actually polled more Republicans than Democrats, which is not exactly the best thing to do as those weighted party ID polls in 2012 showed.

There are actually more registered democrats than registered republicans in Kentucky. Granted, a significant number of the democrats vote straight-ticket republican except for a few statewide offices, but still.

People, comparing a federal race's results to a state race is foolish, ESPECIALLY in a state like Kentucky.

Conway, Beashear, Tomblin, and Manchin all support NRA.
