Into Lowndes County Georgia by the late 1850's( Census Records and Tax rolls)
GGGGGrandfather Fought with the 26th Georgia Infantry Regiment Co G, Enlisted in August 1861, Medically Discharged late September 1862 , falsely listed as KIA at 2nd Manassas.
From Lowndes Georgia to Polk County Florida, Polk County to Hillsborough County Florida until 1950's--On a side note My GGGrandfather was in a Chevy Truck ad back in the 30's-- he owned an orange grove and used the heavy duty trucks
My Mother was born at the now Closed Donaldson Air Force Base in Greensville SC.
I was born in Virginia
On My Mother's Father Side: ( Jones, Hagin, Hoyle, Hamrick, Holland)
Ireland to Maryland--early 1750's
Maryland to Virginia--- In Prince William County by 1790's( Deed Abstracts, wills, Cemetery Records)
Virginia to Rutherford County NC- by 1820's---still residing in the county at present time.
Another GGGGrandfather Fought in the 34th NC Co F, He was discharged after losing a leg at Petersburg. The wooden leg it was replaced with is currently in my cousin's dining room in Accident Maryland.
On My Grandmother's Father's Side they are 6th Generation Floridian, My Uncle is 7th Generation and His Son is 8th Generation .
My Father's Side ( Maguire/McQueen, Cavanaugh) is a little rougher to trace,
Ireland to New York( 1860's), New York to Pennsylvania( Pittsburgh by the 1890's) Pennsylvania to New Jersey( still residing in New Jersey.
In case you hadn't already guessed, I'm a genealogy geek, I've been researching in one way shape or form since I was about 10. I am honestly thinking about starting a research business....who knows.. I can think of worse ways to earn a living
