Republicans won't try to block her because that would just mean they get 2 more years of Holder.

They would rather have someone who thinks this is okay?
Many undoubtedly would.

It wouldn't surprise me too much because many of them hate Eric Holder, but I would expect at least a good chunk of them to protest it as a defense of private property.

The GOP is often more than willing to support fascism when it suits them.

A few of them would, but many would not want to risk their endorsements from police unions.
