Who should be the main target of the candidates during the TV debate?

Should they focus on the median voters? They will decide the election.

Or should they speak to their safe voters, in order to make them more excited? Maybe, non-excited safe voters would only vote in silence, and excited safe voters would participate in the campaign.

Or should they alternate between median voters and safe voters?


What were the strategies of the most sucessful candidates in the TV debates?
