My proposals actually pass with some regularity.

I won't motion to table, but I won't vote for this.

You only need two motions to table, then a vote is held, windjammer.

As said in the past, if you want, I'm open to public binding consultations.

As I already said, I will support this law. Do you want us to still debate this amendment or can I motion for a final vote Cris?

I think of yes, Windjammer.
I pointed out three times my support for an amendment for binding consultations, but considered that no Senators have responded, and that I'm ok with the amendment as it stands, I'm ready for a final vote.

Abstain

This has enough votes to fail, senators have 24 hours to change their votes

By a margin of 3-4-3 this has failed:

Aye: Cris, Windjammer, Lief

Nay: TNF, Yankee, Polnut, SWE

Abstain: Bore, Cranberry, Bacon King

I wouldn't say a complete waste of time. Though far less formal, I used to hold all Senator townhalls as PPT in order to get public input. Oftentimes they didn't receive enough participation from the public to justify doing them, but I still kept trying at different points hoping a different time would mean a different result.

I also used to randomly PM members of the IDS to get their views on topics, but the result of that was often even worse in terms of participation and response.
