An Arizonan hispanic who liked McCain. Exit polls had AZ Hispanics going only >50% D in 2008 and closer to 70% in 2012.

Jewish Staten Islander who voted for Kerry because of the Culture War but then switched over to McCain due to his "maverick" status, Lieberman endorsement, and fear Obama would sell Israel out. Voted for Obama in 2012 when it became evident this wasn't the case and also because of Hurricane Sandy.

The gay vote went from 77% Kerry in 2004, to 70% Obama in 2008, to 76% Obama in 2012.

Of course, 2004 had Bush campaigning against the LGBT community, McCain not talking about it in 2008, and Obama endorsing SSM in 2012.

A Moderate Republican who probably leans a bit conservative on military issues who was horrified at the George W. Bush brand, thought of McCain as someone like him, and then thought the Tea Party was just absolutely nuts and Romney would be beholden to them.

Either that or a military Democrat who was loyal to the party, but more loyal to Hillary Clinton, and voted for McCain to spite his party, but came back to the fold once Obama was actually in office.
