Ugh, I hate to admit I have egg on my face, but it looks like I'll have to put up with Queen Janet for another four years out here.  All the names left seem like jokes.  I would be intrigued by Carmona, but would have to learn more about him first.

I'm just frustrated that the most prominent Republicans who would have the best chance against the Queen are running from this race.  I still think her poll ratings are soft and that she can be defeated, but we need a top tier candidate.

With the names that are left on the table, I'd say the odds are in favor of me voting Libertarian.

Frodo:
Janet Napolitano is evidently more popular out in the real world (in Arizona, anyways) than on this forum.   i wonder why she is so popular that the most formidable Republican candidates like J.D. Hayworth and Rick Romley shy away from challenging her......

I've been trying like hell to figure that one out.  She's very soft on the immigration issue, which one would think would be political suicide in a state like Arizona.  She won election by 1% with 46% of the vote.  The only thing I can figure is that her record hasn't been fully scrutinized like it would in a reelection campaign.  I still don't think she'll win as easily as the polls indicate right now, but I don't see any of the remaining candidates having much of a chance against her.

Rob:
That is a travesty. If the GOP ran a strong candidate and hit her relentlessly on immigration, they would have a good chance of winning...

I agree (ah, to be independently wealthy :) )  Damn just checked the website, have to have been an Arizona resident for five years.  I only will have 3 come Election Day.
