POV's coming tomorrow (or today, it depends on your time zone). So far we will have Meereen (Daenerys), Storm's End (Arianne) and Braavos (Arya) as formal POV's.

Right, the update was a lot smaller than I was in mind. We were originally going to see a lot more developments, but I would be giving too much away and there are things better suited to the end of the turn.

Two hours left, then I'll start writing the end of turn four. I should also note that another player has joined the game, his identity to be revealed in turn five.

Mid to Late 300 AL: Aftermath:

Aegon VI's Invasion of Westeros:

Aegon Targaryen continued to reach success in the South as more and more houses pledged their loyalty, easily winning over most of the Tyrell bannermen and eventually the Tyrells themselves. King Aegon started to build up his small council and held over a successful wedding to Arianne Martell at Storm's End, increasing his legitimacy and cementing a firm alliance with Dorne. Using his new found manpower his alliance of houses achieved the following results:

Battle of Dragonstone: Reassembling the remnants of Lord Connington's force after the debacle of the Gullet, it fell on Tristan Rivers to led a renewed offensive towards the island of Dragonstone. Rivers cleverly attempted to separate the enemy fleet from the island and use fire arrows to secure his victory, forcing the Baratheons into desperation. Realizing that the wind pointed to the Targaryen/Pentoshi fleet, the Baratheon admiral chose to sacrifice most of his fleet to prevent the landing, using his own damaged fleet to set the enmy on fire. The battle raged across the evening, resulting in the death of Tristan Rivers and the destruction of most of his fleet. The Baratheons saved less than a dozen of their ships and put them to the defense of Dragonstone.

Stormlands Campaign: The Targaryen loyalists had virtually no trouble in securing the Kingswood, managing to link with Lord Rowan's forces and being the evacuation of the refugees of King's Landing (although some of them formed bands that started to raid Rosby and Duskendale). Despite their best attempts the sieges of the Dornish Marshes continued to be a failure, with only a couple of castles falling as a result. On the other hand, Lord Robert Cafferen defeated the Baratheon loyalists at Rain House, laying siege to most of the area. Bronzegate remains defiant, but lacking supplies.

Other: While most of the attention was directed to the Stormlands, House Hightower was succesful in forcing the surrender of House Beesbury, who were forced to bend the knee to Aegon. Alas, the venture into the Westerlands was a huge failure with the loss of the Goldegrove host in a failed attack at Silverhill, fiercely defended by Lord Serrett.

Stannis Baratheon's Northern Campaign:

Following the smashing victory of Winterfell it seemed that most of the North was willing to really behind King Stannis and Lord Stark against the Bolton loyalists, especially in light of King Robb's will. Wasting no time, both the Bolton and Baratheon forces moved to seize the initiative, leading to two major engagements:

Battle of Torrhen's Square: Hoping to strike at the flank of the enemy the Bolton Army of the Northeast led a daring move to secure the neck, easily capturing Torrhen's Square. They were found there by forces led by Galbart Glover, who had successfully crushed House Cerwyn a few days earlier. Outnumbered three to one, the Bolton forces were destroyed, leaving Lady Dustin as the main remaining foe in the area.

Battle of White Harbor: While Ramsay Bolton was nowhere to be seen his main forces departed from the Dreadfort in an attempt to destroy White Harbor, being intercepted by King Stannis and the force he was leading to reach the Vale in time. Taking advantage of their superior morale and the lack of expertice of Walton Steelshanks the Baratheons repelled the offensive, although most of the Bolton army managed to escape. A direct route from Winterfell to White Harbor was secured, allowing Stannis to depart to the Vale while the Stark forces refrained from attacking the Dreadfort.

Lord Jon Stark continued to rebuild Winterfell as more of his father's former bannermen joined his side, and he narrowly escaped death when Arnolf Karstark attempted to attack the remaining forces left at Winterfell, hoping to kill Stannis (who had already left for White Harbor). Hother Umber and Ser Godry Farring were killed in the ambush, which ended with Lord Arnolf's death at the hands of Ghost and the destruction of his remaining units.

Euron Greyjoy's v. the World:

While most of Westeros continues to reject Euron Greyjoy due to his cruelty and the unpopularity of the Ironborn, the Crow's Eye continues to be successful both in sea and in the fields, although his daring raids have raised concerns due to the potential for House Tyrell rising again to seek revenge. Despite provocations on both sides Victarion and the Tyrells did not engage in battle, leading Euron to shock Westeros with a massive operation across the Riverlands:

Sack of the Twins: Keeping most of his forces near Lannisport to scare the Lannisters, King Euron took several ships from Victarion's fleet to sail all the way to Seagard, crushing the Frey garrison and giving a shocked Lord Mallister control over most of his lands. It was around that time that Edmyn Frey was crushed at the battle of Oldstones, and the fall of Seagard tricked Balck Walder Frey into believing that Edmyn had sent a force to take the Twins and Edmyn into believing that the original garrison had defected to him. Both raced towards Seagard only to be ambushed by the Ironborn garrison in two separate encounters which resulted in the deaths of both Frey pretenders. In the meantime, King Euron and his men used the help of the Warlocks to surround and infiltrate the Twins, taking the small garrison by surprise. By the next morning the Twins were burning, most of House Frey was dead or imprisoned, and King Euron sent ravens to the entire region to promote his victory.

Grand Council of the Vale:

Knowing full well how crucial the support of the Vale would be at this stage of the war most of the Kings wasted no efforts in trying to secure the support of the Lords Declarant. Both King Euron and King Tommen sent their messages and their offers, the first one warning about Daenerys' arrival and the second offering a marriage to Princess Myrcella, both being mostly disregarded through the Council due to their respective circumstances. The main fight was to be held between Aegon Targaryen, represented by Lord Connington, and Stannis Baratheon, who chose to go himself after securing his victory near White Harbor.

The main role at the Council was apparently played by Lord Royce, who commanded Lord Connington to be taken prisoner at Gulltown along with his small escort, most of them being put to the sword. The debate of the Council was heated, but the tide was slowly sent towards Stannis due to his presence and the tale of his campaign in the North. Most of the Targaryen loyalists went silent one by one, leaving Lord Connington to be brought from his cell to try and make the decisive push for his King. It was then that Lord Royce (who had remained silent) claimed that the Vale's strength was its honor, and that Stannis was the only honorable choice. By the time the day was over, dozens of ravens left the Grand Council to proclaim to Westeros that the Vale of Arryn would side with Stannis Baratheon.

Trouble at Oldtown:

With the city of Oldtown barely starting to recover from the damaged sustained at the hands of King Euron, it fell on the Citadel to elect the third Grand Maester of that year, following the deaths of Grand Maesters Pycelle and Vaellyn. Having the fresh memory of Vaellyn's bad temper, the Citadel elected Archmaester Ebrose as the next Grand Maester. Despite the open condemnation of Euron Greyjoy and the sympathies for King Aegon, Ebrose decided to remain at Oldtown until the war made it safe for him the leave. The main trouble was the issue of the Faith of the Seven, left without a leader with the loss of the entire Most Devout at King's Landing. With Oldtown being the second most important place for the Faith, its septons quickly started to fight to elect a new High Septon, creating a rivalry between two candidates: Septon Rickard, fighting for the status quo, and Septon Gerris, who supported the rise of the Sparrows in Harrenhal and spoke in favour of reforming the faith. Both men are currently fighting for the city and inflaming the people with their speeches.

Daenerys sails to Volantis, Essos in shock:

Choosing to finally leave the Slaver's Bay after her victory at Meereen and the rise of Aegon Targaryen in Westeros, Daenerys Targaryen relinquished the Queenship and its powers to a Council of Freedmen, leaving many trained freedmen and some unsullied to keep the peace and hopefully put Astapor and Yunkai under control in the near future. Using the huge Volantene Fleet the Dragon Queen had favorable winds that led her just outside Volantis, setting the stage for a massive slave revolt that so far has taken control over most the city.

With the slave market currently halted due to Daenerys's campaign Lys, Myr and Tyrosh are also having chaos of their own as they try to prepare for eventual slave uprisings. The sellsword market has seen its prices go up due to this situation and the many companies crushed at Meereen, and so far envoys from Euron Greyjoy, Stannis Baratheon and Tyrion Lannister have been seen attempting to hire large numbers of mercenaries to fight in Westeros.

Confusion at the Riverlands:

Eight months have passed since the Red Wedding and the situation of the Riverlands is not a good one. Lord Randyll Tarly had succeeded in bringing some order to the region, but the orders to regroup his entire force at Riverrun have emboldened the outlaws into sacking entire towns. House Tyrell surprised the Riverlands by putting Edmure Tully and his family back in power at Riverrun, and while most of the Riverlords have recognized Edmure as their Lord they remain unwilling to join the war on Aegon's side, just as they are wary of Stannis due to their distrust of Jon Stark. The situation is all the more confusing due to the fall of House Frey and the Battle of Oldstones, the skirmishes at Seagard and the sack of the Twins, and current reports indicate that the sparrows have taken advantage of Harrenhal being defenseless to take the mighty fortress and claim it for the Faith of the Seven.

Weddings, births and deaths:

Deaths: Hother Umber, Arnolf Karstark, Tristan Rivers, Black Walder Frey, Edmyn Frey, most of House Frey, Ser Godry Farring.
Weddings: Aegon Targaryen and Arianne Martell.
Births: None.

War of the Four Kings:

[King Tommen Baratheon: With the Ironborn refraining from further attacks and after repulsing the Targaryens at Silverhill, the Lannister/Baratheon alliance has used the past weeks to consolidate its position and reinforce the garrison of their castles. Lord Tyrion has filled its Small Council and the Kingsguard with Westerlander Lords and his sons to secure their loyalty, and the coin of Casterly Rock is being used to hire sellsword armies.

King Stannis Baratheon: Currently the man most likely to bring back the alliance that put Robert on the Iron Throne, Stannis has most of the North secured with the defeats of the Bolton loyalists, and he can now add the Vale to his allies, providing him with a fresh army and a great source of manpower and food in the beginning of a harsh winter. Can Stannis continue to succeed and rally the Houses that oppose the Targaryen legacy?

King Aegon Targaryen: Aegon has proved incredibly efficient when it comes to making allies, and despite Connington's humiliation at the Vale he now has most of the Reach behind him to support his Dornish and Stormlander forces. Alas, his commanders have not been very succesful at winning battles, the Stormlands refusing to yield in the middle of countless sieges and his identity still being in doubt despite rumours against Stannis and Daenerys. With his manpower and momentum he still has the advantage in the war, how long will it last?

King Euron Greyjoy: Still rejected by most Lords, Euron has at last scored some goodwill across the Riverlands with his treatment of Lord Mallister and his destruction of the hated House Frey, allowing him a direct shot at controlling the neck should he wish to risk a confrontation with Tarly's massive host. With Daenerys approaching, can he win her over?

Definitely not necessary, lol. You did say in this post that the Gulltown fleet was 20, and Runestone had a garrison 500 strong. Can you clarify those two things?

Forgot to check back, Gulltown Fleet now has 20 ships, Garrison of Runestone updated.

Also, if I'm not mistaken the map should show Moat Cailin as still being under Bolton control, given that the Bolton Garrison of Moat Cailin is still intact.

I'll correct that.

Since Tarly bent the knee to me, should his troops be under my command - rather than Tyrell?

Given that House Tyrell bent the knee to you around the same time or earlier, Tarly and the rest of the Reach still technically count as Tyrell bannermen, which is why they are still under Willas's command. That is also why Rowan and Hightower are still under your command (they bent the knee before the Tyrells), a situation that will last until you relinquish control of them.

Late 300 AL: Turn Five:

General View:

The year of 300 AL is almost at an end, and at this point most of Westeros has already pledged their loyalty to one of the Kings, the only Lords remaining neutral being in the Riverlands and the Crownlands. Stannis, Aegon, Tommen, Euron and the High Lords struggle for supremacy even without the Iron Throne existing anymore, all for the sake of the realm. And as they continue to fight and more houses continue to fall Daenerys Targaryen starts her journey to Westeros, currently fighting the Old Blood at Volantis. Essos and Westeros burn, and there's no end in sight...

Updated Cast:

Aegon Targaryen, claimant to the Iron Throne (dkrolga)
Stannis Baratheon, King in the Narrow Sea and the Wall (Dereich)
Euron Greyjoy, King of the Iron Islands (Talleyrand)
Doran Martell, Prince of Dorne (Cranberry)
Ramsay Bolton, Lord of Hornwood and the Dreadfort (Mr. X)
Willas Tyrell, Lord Highgarden (Spamage)
Yohn Royce, Lord of Runestone and Lord Regent of the Vale (Badgate)

Player Crisis:

Aegon Targaryen:
-Prestige: 6/10
-Gold: 150.000 GD. (New loans from Essos)
-Legitimacy: 5/10 (Marriage to Princess Arianne)

-More than a few months have passed since the beginning of the Targaryen Restoration, and while the situation is not entirely solid it positive in terms of the new vassals that have joined your forces. Alas, the loss of Lord Connington deprives you of a very capable advisor and general, and there are other concerns coming to court:

-Lord Varys has recently arrived in a boat having survived the Great Fire, but he returns scarred and in bad health. With his little birds starting to spread through Westeros again he will be of use, but he warns you that rumours are starting to appear regarding the Queen and Ser Arys Oakheart of the Kingsguard.

-Lords Rowan and Tarth have done the best they can to move refugees from King's Landing, but they report and the bands of outlaws are growing too strong and they request reinforcemens to ocupy Rosby and Duskendale. Lord Rosby and Ser Ronnet have been sent to you as prisioners.

-Several merchant ships carrying gold have arrived on the bay as a gift of Magister Illyrio, who has negotiated several loans with the Bank of Pentos. Finding a fleet is hard, he says, but he pledges to fight for your cause in the city.

-Finally, a troubling message arrives from Oldtown from Lord Hightower. The religious strife within the city is growing to dangerous levels as both Septons fight for the Faith, and both of them request your blessing as the new High Septon. Will you support one of the septons?

Stannis Baratheon:
-Prestige: 8/10 .
-Gold: 260.000 GD. (mercenary recruiting)
-Legitimacy: 7/10.

-The investigation into the Nightfort yields few results, but there's a growing suspicion that a member of the Night's Watch may have been involved in the assassination. Your advisers reccomend leaving the Nightfort for another castle to serve as your seat, as the safety of Princess Shireen is a major priority. Ser Axell Florent has returned in triumph from Braavos with a pledge of further funding, but Ser Davos has not returned from the mission in which he was sent by the Manderlys.

-With most of the North in control of the Starks it might be to your advantage to press Lord Stark to crush the remaining Bolton allies and secure the entire region to march South, but there is resistence among the Northerners to go south of the Neck once more iin light of what happened to Robb. It might not matter that much given the manpower you have gained from the Vale, but the forces personally sworn to House Baratheon are few and the Riverlands look in distrust.

-You have recieved several petitions of help from Dragonstone and the Stormlands, asking for support against the Targaryen forces that threaten or currently siege those places.

-Finally, a report from Braavos indicates that your mercenaries will be available rather soon (which means at the end of the turn).

Euron Greyjoy:
-Prestige: 10/10.
-Gold: 650.000 GD. (The Twins loot, minus mercenary recruitment)
-Legitimacy: 9/10.

-Another victory for House Greyjoy as your forces camp around the burnt remains of the Twins. House Frey is no more as few members have survived, but your captains question the wisdom of sitting in the Twins while the powerful forces of Randyll Tarly are near. With the Tyrells growing stronger each day, they beg you to secure the Shield Islands and attack the Reach once again, believing as they do that the Riverlands offer no worthy reward due to the devastation.

-Also, reports from your envoys at the Disputed Lands report that your mercenaries will be available rather soon (which means at the end of the turn).

Doran Martell:
-Prestige: 7/10.
-Gold: 440.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 10/10.

-House Martell has now reached a high point in court, and many advise you that Dorne has to fully commit itself to Aegon's cause, although others would prefer to have the Reach making most of the serious efforts. Either way, several decisions have reached you as the Hand:

-It has been noted by Quentyn that despite having the Handship and Ser Aero Hotah the Dornishmen are few in Storm's End, and he has advised you to fill the court and the lesser positions with them to secure your influence.

-Despite the military manpower the fact remains that Aegon's only source of income is the loans from Essos and the ocassional plunder from enermy lands, and because of that Lord Peake has been pressuring you to loan funds to the Crown to continue operations and the construction of the new capital.

-Finally, and despite the truce between your house and the Tyrells, Obara Sand is still in Highgarden. Will you push for her release as Arianne and the Sand Snakes demand?

Willas Tyrell:
-Prestige: 5/10.
-Gold: 2.460.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 8/10.

-Time has helped House Tyrell to recover from the past losses, and the lack of battles over the past weeks have managed to restore your prestige a bit. Still, some issues still need to be solved:

-While Lord Tarly is still under your command, it should be noted that Houses Hightower and Rowan are under the King's direct control due to them bending the knee before you. Will you ask for both Houses to be put under your command once again?

-The restoration of House Tully to Riverrun has been a success and Lord Tarly is quite popular with the Riverlords due to it, but he has expressed that sending all forces to Riverrun has been a mistake due to the rise of the outlaws and sparrows. Will you allow Edmure Tully to control his region once again, and will you accept Tarly's request and garrison more parts of the Riverlands?

-Finally, with Euron Greyjoy in the Twins Garlan has asked you to send forces against him as soon as possible to end his threat, although it does have its own risks with the Vale being hostile now.

Ramsay Bolton:
-Prestige: 2/10.
-Gold: 50.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 4/10.

-Your ship has passed the Wall now, and with no enemies near it seems getting further North will be easier than expected. Locke still communicates with you via raven, and he reports that the situation grows dire with the loss of the two battles and Lord Karstark's failed plot. Still, the defenses of Moat Cailin and the Dreadfort are still strong, and he believes he can resist for a long time. In the meantime, your crew grows restless, Reek is as silent as even and Myranda's womb seems to be growing...

Yohn Royce:
-Prestige: 7/10.
-Gold: 500.000 GD. (Most of them being the reserves of House Arryn)
-Legitimacy: 9/10.

-The Vale has declared for House Baratheon, and it seems that as the most powerful of Stannis's vassals it will be up to the Knights of the Vale to form the main force that will fight the Targaryens. Your fellow lords raise the following issues:

-First, that it is almost assured that the Knights of the Vale will have to fight Tarly in the Riverlands, a thought which is not particularly reassuring. Most of the Lords ask you to raise as many men as possible to secure the region, and several of them are already fighting for the honor of leading the force.

-With Dragonstone constantly under attack it has been suggested that the Gulltown fleet could be used to defend the island and secure the North of the Narrow Sea, and it's up to you to make the decision.

-Young Lord Robert seems to be weakening due to the loss of his mother, and the Lords Declarant despair over his many flaws. What should be done about Lord Robert?

-Finally, your family has expressed that with three members old enough to marry (your son and your two daughters) it should be time for House Royce to close alliances with other houses.

Late 300 AL: Aftermath:

Aegon VI's Invasion of Westeros:

With Aegon Targaryen and his loyalists building up their position in the South the time came for political decisions, and it seems that the Dragons have gambled quite a bit, allowing the influence of the Martells to fill the court and choosing to declare for Septon Gerris while allowing the recreation of the Faith Militant, leading to the Sparrows pledging their support to Aegon while most of the septons condemned the King. So far the Lords seem torn over the King's sudden decision, fearing religious unrest and the danger posed by the Faith Militant. Military moves led to:

Battle of Pyke: Preparing to gamble on the potential weakness of the Ironborn, King Aegon and Lord Tyrell prepared a join campaign using the assets of House Hightower and the Redwyne Fleet, combining both to take a long route and then launch an attack on the island of Pyke. This led to the Pyke fleet being launched to prevent the assault, sending both fleets (of equal size) into a prolonged battle of attrition. In the end, it was the fanatical spirit of the Ironborn that won the day despite their heavy losses, forcing the invading force to withdraw.

Stormlands Campaign: With the siege campaign slowing down the progress of the Targaryens, the strategy of regrouping at Storm's End was a success in allowing Aegon to count on a large force, although with the Stormlords too weak to counter attack yet strong enough to resist an uneasy situation arises through the region. The Dornishmen have finally set up a passage in the Dornish Marshes, but they keep taking causalties.

Other: So far the Crownlands face uneasiness as the outlaws fight the forces sent by the King. Recent battles have left Aegon in control of Duskendale and Rosby, but most of the countryside remains hostile due to the outlaws. Some of the banks of Essos have finally decided to grant loans, which couple to the Dornish loans solves a good part of the financial issues of Aegon. Finally, the religious forces holed up at Harrenhal have also declared for Aegon after his support of Septon Gerris, although they report that the scouting units of the Vale seem to be preparing to enter the region.

Stannis Baratheon's quest for the Throne:

With Lord Ramsay Bolton inexplicably absent from the North the major threat to the Starks and the Baratheons was removed, leading to the Bolton allied houses to fall apart or surrender once Galbart Glover and Howland Reed took Moat Cailin on a pincer assault. This combines with the arrival of sellsword reinforcements on Dragonstone as good news for the Baratheons, but the radicalization of the Faith of the Seven means terrible news, as the Sparrows are bound to be opposed to them in an almost fanatical way.

Battle of the Dreadfort: Deciding that the time was set for breaking the remnants of House Bolton, the forces of House Stark and House Manderly prepared for a joint assault on the Dreadfort. Despite the challenges of marching through the snow, both forces were able to engage in battle with Locke, castellan of the Dreadfort. Outnumbered two to one, the battle ended in the defeat of the Boltons and the siege of the fortress, surrounded by land by the Starks and by sea by the newly unveiled Manderly Fleet.

Euron Greyjoy's v. the World:

After a daring raid at the Twins that ended up in the fall of House Frey, King Euron regrouped his forces once again for another daring operation, this time visiting a place he had already attacked while the Tyrells did their best to counterattack.

Battle of Lannisport and the Rock: After regrouping his forces at Seagard King Euron launched his fleet to meet with the fleet that still blocked Lannisport, combining most of the might of the Ironborn to launch another battle at the city, hoping to capture Casterly Rock this time. Despite his best attempts House Lannister had prepared itself for the fight, sacrificing the remnants of the fleet to block the entrance and force a lenghty battle of attrition. After days of street fights King Euron was finally able to claim the city of Lannisport, directly threatening the Rock as Prince Victarion took Faircastle in a raid that claimed the life of Lord Farman.

Fall of the Shield Islands: Hoping to finally reclaim their lost land the Tyrells launched a substantial part of their forces in attacking the Shield Islands. Ser Garlan Tyrell led the Reach forces into a campaign to take the four islands, being surprised at Prince Victarion's withdrawal towards the Westerlands. After a long series of skimirshes and losses due to the many traps left behind by King Euron, the Tyrells retook the islands.

The Faith splits!

In the end all it took was for King Aegon to declare for the Sparrows to ignite the conflict at Oldtown, as the forces loyal to Septon Gerris took the advantage of most of the Hightower forces being gone to launch a bloody fight against their opponents, driving Septon Rickard out as Septon Gerris proclaimed himself the High Septon. Septon Rickard has requested the Lords of Westeros to support him as the rightful Septon, with most of the Septons behind him as the fanatical Sparrows rise higher in number and power every day.

Daenerys frees Volantis, Essos in panic!

Despite heavy losses (including some of her key advisors), Queen Daenerys was finally able to smash the Old Blood for the time being, leading to the deaths of all three of the Triarchs and Daenerys's proclamation of the High Priest of Volantis as Azor Ahai reborn, leading the slaves to pledge their loyalty. For the time being Daenerys has the huge challenge of fixing the political situation in Volantis, deal with the scions of the Old Blood who have joined her and confront the enemies that wait her at the Volantene colonies. Her victories at Slaver's Bay and Volantis have smashed most of the slave trade, leading to uprisings and outright panic at Myr, Lys and Tyrosh, who feel they come next.

Weddings, births and deaths:

Deaths: Lord Farman, Lord Gyles Rosby, Ser Ronnet Connigton, Ser Arys Oakheart, Daario Naharis, most of the Old Blood and the three Triarchs of Volantis.
Weddings: None.
Births: None.

War of the Four Kings:

[King Tommen Baratheon: King Tommen's regime is in mortal danger as the Ironborn stand at the gates of Casterly Rock, as losing the fortress would mean a major loss of the prestige. The threat has had the effect of solidifying the Lannister hold over the Westerlands as most of Lord Tyrion's vassals fear the Ironborn, and with a large sellsword army coming to Westeros there's hope for a better future.

King Stannis Baratheon: With his ties to the Vale more solid and the North virtually under his control, Stannis now has his chance to confront King Aegon, but the window of opportunity is growing smaller. More Lords join Aegon everyday, and with Winter closing on the North campaigns will be harder to fight. On the bright side, his success at the Vale Council has led the Iron Bank of Braavos to formally back his cause, bringing him the source of gold he needed.

King Aegon Targaryen: Despite risky decisions King Aegon still has the momentum, amassing his forces as the Sparrows embrace his claim to the throne. There are concerns over the power of the Martells at court, but with the arrival of much needed gold Aegon might be able to silence his critics with a major blow to his rivals.

King Euron Greyjoy: Victorious once again at Lannisport, Euron has to deal with the complicated situation of having to fight the Lannisters while the Tyrells attack him from another flank, which means he will have to be quick if he wishes to consolidate his gains... and all the gold he keeps making.

Player Crisis:

Aegon Targaryen:
-Prestige: 7/10
-Gold: 280.000 GD
-Legitimacy: 5/10

-While Duskendale and Rosby have been freed, Lord Rowan asks for your main army to come to secure the Crownlands, especially in light of the Baratheon reinforcements and the ambiguous loyalty of Crackclaw and the Velaryons.

-Lady Oakheart has voiced her concerns over the death of her kinsmen, and has expressed his suspicious regarding a potential murder. Will you allow for an investigation on the matter?

-Septon Gerris now rules in Oldtown despite being rejected by a good part of the Faith, and he has requested of you to formally cede Harrenhal to the Faith so they can hold a seat of power.

-The merchants from Tyrosh and Myr have reported their willingness to sell a fleet, the price being 40,000 GD for each ten ships, plus extra expenses each turn for the cost of said fleet.

-The Hightower commanders believe their losses have been too high while attacking Pyke, and they would prefer to return to guard Oldtown. Will you press the assault?

-Finally, the Captains of the Golden Company have expressed their interest in knowing which lordships will they get after the recent series of triumphs.

Stannis Baratheon:
-Prestige: 8/10 .
-Gold: 500.000 GD. (Full Iron Bank backing)
-Legitimacy: 7/10.

-Regarding the Wall, the Nightfort has been secured once again as Shireen was taken to safety and the Lord Commander has finally accepted to collaborate. Ser Justin reports his belief that Cotter Pyke might be responsible for the attack, but he lacks evidence. It should also be noted that Lord Connington has accepted to take the black, thus taking his vows to join the Night's Watch.

-Arrangements for your marriage to Lady Ysilla Royce are now complete, and the marriage can take place as soon as you decide on where to hold the ceremony.

-The Lady Melisandre has expressed her interest is serving you in a more direct way, asking for permission to leave for the Vale as well. Lord Stark seems to approve of her departure, although he is more concerned with the fight against the Boltons and the Karstarks.

Euron Greyjoy:
-Prestige: 10/10.
-Gold: 850.000 GD. (Lannisport Loot, minus mercenary recruitment)
-Legitimacy: 9/10.

-Lannisport has fallen, and thus the showdown between Houses Greyjoy and Lannister begins. -Aeron reports that the forces of the Reach attack the Iron Islands, and he asks for immediate reinforcements. Will you divide your forces to avoid losing Pyke?

Doran Martell:
-Prestige: 8/10.
-Gold: 390.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 10/10.

-With all the new courtiers in Storm's End your House is now in firm control of the new capital, even stronger than House Lannister during Robert Baratheon's rule. And yet, Dorne has to pay the price of funding the crown and facing losses in the Dornish Marshes. Such a situation may not be sustainable forever.

-The calls for Obara Sand's liberation grow higher, and Quentyn reports that the Sand Snakes are causing trouble at Sunspear because of it. How will you react?

Willas Tyrell:
-Prestige: 6/10.
-Gold: 2.420.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 8/10.

-Lord Tarly has achieved some success in recruiting forces for Lord Edmure and fighting back some of the outlaws, but he is concerned about the potential invasion of the Knights of the Vale. How should your troops answer to this?

-Some of your vassals have voiced their dissaproval of the rapid embrace of the Sparrows, as their fear they could severly undermine their power and influence.

-The advisory council seems to have been rather successful in managing the Reach economy, which will make it easier to pay for the large armies House Tyrell fields.

-Finally, congratulations, Lord Willas! Lady Talla is pregnant, expected to give birth in four or five turns.

Yohn Royce:
-Prestige: 8/10.
-Gold: 480.000 GD. (Most of them being the reserves of House Arryn)
-Legitimacy: 9/10.

-The morale of the Knights of the Vale grows higher each day, as they wish to enter battle as soon as possible. Many of your dispositions have proved quite effective, which means the Vale will be able to enter the war as a surprisingly stable Kingdom for now.

Regarding some of your earlier ravens: Lady Waynwood has put Sandor Frey under close vigilance, and she has consented to Harrold Hardyng being married into House Royce provided there's a large dowry and a larger influence for the Waynwoods in ruling the Vale. Likewise, Maester Colemon has been gathering information on Lord Robert to try to heal him, and he hopes to start treating him in the next weeks.

Tyrion Lannister:
-Prestige: 4/10.
-Gold: 3.000.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 6/10.

-Greetings, Lord Tyrion! While the situation seems dire, you do have some key advantages that could save House Lannister from its current predicament, provided you can drive the Ironborn out.

-The sellswords hired by House Lannister a few months ago are now in Tyrosh, ready to sail. So far it seems the only options are to land in the east of Westeros and march to the Westerlands or attempt sailing all the way to Lannisport, risking a fight with the Greyjoys and the Tyrells.

-New potential allies arise as sellswords like Ser Lothor Brune and Ser Shadrich have offered to join your forces, and the deposed Septon Rickard has asked for sanctuary at Casterly Rock. Will you welcome them into your ranks?

Ramsay Bolton:
-Prestige: 1/10.
-Gold: 40.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 3/10.

-You are truly Beyond the Wall, and your men question the wisdom of going on ship when the sea is more and more frozen. They believe the time has come for you to land, although with Myranda's pregnancy more and more advanced that has its own risks...

End of 300 AL: Aftermath:

(Increasing numbers of singers across Westeros are framing Stannis and Aegon's war as the second coming of the Rhaegar/Robert duel)

Aegon VI's Invasion of Westeros:

Having decided to take the offensive against Stannis Baratheon's growing coalition, King Aegon and his forced moved to secure key positions, but not without some drama at the court. Lord Varys and Lysono Maar were able to uncover the secret of Harry Strickland: that he had been keeping the legendary sword Blackfyre at his side, inherited by an earlier Captain of the Golden Company after Maelys Blackfyre's death. King Aegon was finally able to enter the field, with a valyrian steel sword in his hand.

Aegon's March on the Crownlands: Aegon led his most (mostly comprised by his Golden Company veterans) towards Bronzegate and Haystack Hall using his elephants. Despite heavy losses both castles fell, leading to the deaths of both Lord Buckley and Lord Errol. The march through the Kingswood was complicated due to the outlaws, but increasing numbers of them were hunted down and killed. By the time King Aegon was able to link up with Selwyn Tarth's vanguard at Blackwater Bay, the south of the Crowlands were mostly secured.

Sack of Seagard: Abandoning all plans to strike at Pyke for the moment, the Targaryen loyalist fleet ignored attempts by the Ironborn to fall into a trap, and they moved in a daring raid towards the North, assaulting and sacking Seagard, mostly depleted of Ironborn troops at the moment. While the raid was a success it enraged Lord Mallister, who had no other choice but to withdraw to the countryside and declare for Stannis Baratheon.

Dornish invasion of the Stormlands: Both Dornish armies moved this time, trying their best to secure the uneasy Dornish Marshes. In the end Anders Yronwood's army managed to cover a great distance while the Ullerr army secured some additional keeps, but the Stormlords continue to inflict casualties on the enemy due to attrition.

Stannis Baratheon's quest for the Throne:

It seems Stannis had the greater political achievement at the end of the year, finally holding his marriage to now Queen Ysilla Royce in the Vale and securing the support of House Lannister in the upcoming struggle. Despite the major risk of depending mostly on his vassals, Stannis went onto the offensive just like his rival claimant, leading to the following operations:

Siege of the Dreadfort: Lord Stark continued to press the siege, finally cutting off any way of supplying the fortess while securing the Karhold after the loss of most of the surviving Karstark troops. The Dreadfort, however, was prepared for a siege thanks to Lord Bolton's efforts, so a siege could prolong itself for months to come.

Assault on Claw Isle: With a naval advantage at the Narrow Sea due to his new sellsword fleet, the Baratheon loyalists led a surprise attack on Claw Isle, killing Lord Adrian and securing both his treasury and his valyrian stell axe. Despite rumours of a magic horn being on the island, nothing has been found.

Crownlander Campaign: Hoping to secure some crucial ground, the sellswords hired in Braavos by House Baratheon marched on the Crowlands under the command of Ser Rolland Storm, who proved to be a capable commander as he defeated Lord Rowan's rearguard and secured both Duskendale and Maidenpool, freeing Harrion Karstark and Wylis Manderly. The Lords of Crackclaw Point are rumored to be meeting in secret to react to this invasion.

Sack of Sunspear: With the sellsword fleet receiving the news of House Lannister's chance of allegiance, the ships took a long detour through the southern Narrow Sea to avoid being seen, thus being in a prime position to attack Sunspear. With only a small garrison and the Dornish fleet being new the Lannister hired army smashed through the defenses and sacked the city, delivering a crippling blow to House Martell. Alas, Prince Doran had prepared a warning system in case of such an attack, allowing Prince Quentyn to evacuate with the most important lords and Lady Myrcella and thus avoid capture.

March of the Vale Lords: Receiving the orders to finally move, the armies of the Vale started their long march through both roads (the Bloody Gate and the slow road of Wickenden) leading towards the Riverlands. While the Runestone army was barely able to approach the areas near Saltpans due to the complicated road, the Eyrie army was quick in securing the King's Road and setting up camp at Lord Harroway's Town. The Tyrell forces chose not to take the bait, with reinforcements being on the way.

Euron Greyjoy's v. the World:

It was do or die for Euron Greyjoy considering his complicated situation at Lannisport, and the end of the year saw the unique duel of the Kraken and the Lion, the Crow's Eye against the Imp. The fate of Houses Lannister and Greyjoy was at stake:

Prince Euron's Campaign: Taking advantage of the weakness of the coast of the Westerlands, and with Lord Tyrion commanding a retreat whenever possible, both the Pyke Fleet and the Iron Fleet were able to focus on the castles, capturing Banefort, Feastfires and Kayce after heavy fighting. Alas, the evacuations allowed most of the Lords and their families to escape, depriving the Ironborn of crucial hostages.

Second Battle of Lannisport: Despite the Lannisters predicting that King Euron would march on Casterly Rock again, the Westerlanders found that Euron had chosen to set up his defenses at Lannisport, trusting that he could hold the city despite the damage in the walls. Gathering most of the forces of the region and recruiting as many men as possible, Ser Jaime Lannister and Ser Addam Marbrand led the assault, hoping to take the city before the Ironborn consolidated their position. The Ironborn resorted to boiling oil while defending the strong positions, while the Lannisters countered by provoking the enemy while using the smallfolk of the city to strike at them whenever possible. Lannisport was a literal hell for days as both sides hoped to consolidate, and the breaking point arrived when Ser Jaime took the command of the charge. Inspired by him, the Lannister troops were finally able to secure the key positions at the center by burning several of the improvised strongpoints, and the sabotage to the Ironborn fleet did the rest, causing the Greyjoy lines to collapse by the fourth day. Both commanders lived to see the next day, but the battle had been one of the most bloody of the war.

The Faith Schism:

The Faith, despite the best attempts of many septons, appears to have finally broken. The High Septon (Gerris) is in full control of Oldtown as the Sparrows and the Faith Militant grow in number (and lands, after being granted Harrenhal). On the other hand, the High Septon (Rickard) managed to escape to the Westerlands, but he is in a complicated situation now that the Lannisters have joined the Baratheons, even with King Stannis's recent Edict on Religion. With the Septons of Westeros taking sides between the so called "Old Faith" and the "Militant Faith", the Faith of the Seven is officially broken in half.

Weddings, births and deaths:

Deaths: Lord Buckley, Lord Errol, Lord Celtigar.
Weddings: Stannis Baratheon and Ysilla Royce, Harold Hardying and Rowena Royce.
Births: None.

War of the Four Kings:

King Stannis Baratheon: The anti-Targaryen alliance of the times of Robert is back now that Stannis has the full backing of the Lannisters, which gives him a fair chance against Aegon. Alas, Stannis depends too much on his new vassals, and his unlikely alliance can be toppled under the right circumstances. Can he really bring lead a strange alliance to victory?

King Aegon Targaryen: The past weeks had served in some regards to consolidate the Targaryen position, and indeed King Aegon has scored many triumphs with his expansion into the Crowlands, his recovery of the sword Blackfyre and the growing forces of the Tyrells, but the sack of Sunspear does great harm to his main ally, and with the Baratheon forces marching South the time for the crucial battles is close.

King Euron Greyjoy: Having lost a good deal of his forces at his gamble in Lannisport, King Euron faces a difficult situation as his men are discontent. Can he recover from this loss and bring the Ironborn to victory? If Stannis could do it after the Blackwater, most believe he still has a good chance of doing so.

Early 301 AL: Turn Seven:

General View:

The fight for the Iron Throne has become a bitter duel between Aegon Targaryen and Stannis Baratheon, with claimants like Euron Greyjoy and Daenerys Targaryen taking a secondary role for the moment... Once the Kings clash, who will be left standing?

Updated Cast:

Aegon Targaryen, King in the South (dkrolga)

Player Crisis:

Aegon Targaryen:
-Prestige: 7/10
-Gold: 145.000 GD
-Legitimacy: 6/10

-Congratulations with your recovery of the sword Blackfyre, your Grace. Several pressing issues are brought to your concern:

-Stannis Baratheon's sellswords currently hold a good part of the Crownlands, and many of our advisers ask you to go meet his forces in battle to break the balance on your favour.

-Queen Arianne is pregnant! It seems the nights of trying to produce an heir have worked, for a raven from Storm's End reports that the Queen will have a child somewhere at the middle of the year.

-With Aurane Waters holding a small fleet at Driftmark, many believe the time is right to bring him to your side. Will you try to convince him to pledge his loyalty?

Stannis Baratheon:
-Prestige: 8/10 .
-Gold: 365.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 7/10.

-The marriage is now done and the temporary court at Gulltown is filled with activity, your grace. Most of the Small Council is ready to meet, and they present several issues to address:

-Ser Davos Seaworth has finally appeared on White Harbor after a long trip to Skagos. According to him the island is in the middle of a fierce and bloody war, and despite his best attempts he was unable to find any trace of Rickon or Brandon Stark, rumored to be alive despite Theon Greyjoy's public execution of them at Winterfell.

-The Dreadfort continues to resist and will likely do so for long, but your courtiers believe it would be for the best to use the Northern fleet elsewhere. What will you do?

-Lady Waynwood has faced some initial success at getting information in the Riverlands, and it seems many of the Houses have some degree of goodwill towards Lord Tarly's person due to his efforts to fight back the outlaws. The Vale troops have been well recieved, but not cheered with a lot of enthusiasm.

Euron Greyjoy:
-Prestige: 7/10.
-Gold: 810.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 7/10.

-The defeat at Lannisport has damaged your standing and the morale of the Ironborn, but several castles ave already fallen to the Ironborn. Should the campaign continue against House Lannister?

-Your mercenaries were unable to gain some cooperation from the Summer Islands, and so far they are very close to Dorne and the Reach. Where shall they be sent?

Doran Martell:
-Prestige: 6/10.
-Gold: 220.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 10/10.

-Obara Sand has returned to Dorne and the Sand Snakes are focused on their tasks, but House Martell was dealt a heavy blow. Sunspear burns, and Quentyn urgently requests reinforcements and money to both defend and rebuilt the city. Furthermore, you have the following reports as Hand:

-Tyrene reports that the Faith has started to conduct trials of "sinners" in Harrenhal, and several sparrows and outlaws have been mysteriously murdered through the area.

-The Royal Builders have started planning for the rebuilt of Summerhal, but the task will be long and the price high. Will you use House Martell's money, secure a loan in what remains of Essos or direct them to use the King's gold reserves?

Willas Tyrell:
-Prestige: 7/10.
-Gold: 2.380.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 8/10.

-Winter is starting to reach the region, but thankfully there are no reports of starvation for the moment. As a matter of fact, the Reach is more than prepared for a long winter due to the past weeks of relative peace, but the Sparrows and the few Knights of the Faith Militant are starting to increase their power on several towns and cities.

-The troops are Seagard request orders due to the proximity of Baratheon, Arryn and Stark troops. Should they march on Riverrun? Attack the enemy on their own?

-Garlan is now at Bitterbridge with some of the new men you recruited, but he warns that fielding the army size you asked for could take weeks, not to mention that his men are untrained. Should he still move forward?

Yohn Royce:
-Prestige: 9/10.
-Gold: 460.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 9/10.

[justify-The prestige of House Arryn is higher than ever, as you are now father in law to the King and the heir apparent to the Vale. Can you rise even higher?

-As the Master of Laws it will be your eventual duty to carry out the religious edicts and secure the safety of the new capital with a new City Watch. Will you start to prepare for that?

-Maester Colemon has found some success with the health of Lord Robert, but he warns he is unlikely to have a robust health for the rest of his life. He has also tried to get away from his lessons, and Colemon reccomends being careful with too much discipline for him, something that the other Lords reject.[/justify]

Tyrion Lannister:
-Prestige: 6/10.
-Gold: 2.850.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 8/10.

-Congratulations, Lord Tyrion! You have managed to dodge immediate danger by fighting the Ironborn and sacking Sunspear, and your situation looks a lot better now. That said, there are still many dangers out there.

-The sellsword fleet has reported that they stand ready to strike again should it be necessary, but they caution that staying on the fleet for too long is a danger in light of the potential for a naval battle.

-Euron might have evacuated Lannisport, but the Ironborn hold many castles in the coast and you have no fleet. How will you fight them back?

-Septon Rickard has kindly accepted your loan and he has started his work to help the victims of the Ironborn, proving invaluable to secure support that could go to the Sparrows. That said, the Sparrows are growing in number, and some warn that they should be eliminated before the Westerlands finds itself in conflict.

Aurane Waters:
-Prestige: 6/10.
-Gold: 100.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 3/10.

-Good day, Admiral! It's another cold morning at Driftmark, and your loyal men and courtiers bring you the news of the day. Baratheons and Targaryens are fighting each other, and Qyburn and the Gold Cloak captains that survived the Great Fire advice you to pick a side before Driftmark is attacked. In the meantime, your role as the Lord Regent of the island remains secure as young Lord Monterys is in your power, but your legitimacy is quite doubtful as a bastard. Can you overcome that weakness and become a truly powerful Lord?

Ramsay Bolton:
-Prestige: 1/10.
-Gold: 35.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 2/10.

-You find yourself crossing the Haunted Forest, having to evade many Wildling troops that attempt to find alternate ways of crossing the Wall. So far it seems Myranda is about to give birth, and the scouts warn it is possible to reach Craster's Keep, but due to the snow they doubt it will be possible to much much farther with Myranda and the large group.

End of Early 301 AL: Aftermath:

The Curse of Harrenhal goes on, and on, and on...

The Riverlands/Crownlands Campaign:

Finally the key pieces were in the position to strike, and thus the fight between the two largest alliances in Westeros was to truly begin, Targaryen v. Baratheon for the control of the center of Westeros, both Houses aided by the might of the Starks, Arryns, Tullys, Tyrells, Martells and Lannisters.

Battle of the Twins: Pressing their momentum following the fall of Seagard, the forces sworn to House Hightower were commanded to march north to take the Twins and cut the North from the rest of the Baratheon loyalists. To counter this threat the burnt remnants of the castle and bridge were defended by a mixed army made out of Glover's Northerners and the remaining Mallister men. An easy victory for the Hightowers turned into a fight for survival when reinforcements from the Vale arrived at the last moment, closing their escape route. By the end of the day, very few of the Reachmen escaped with their lives.

Battle of Driftmark's Bay: Seizing the initiative in the seas, the Baratheon fleet launched from Dragonstone hoping to destroy the Velaryon fleet (and thus Lord Aurane's source of power), quickly engaging the enemy on an open battle. While the dromonds proved their worth in battle, they were quickly surpassed by the Baratheon superiority in numbers and the low morale of the crew. Having the orders not to attack the island itself Driftmark was spared, but most of the Velaryon fleet is now in the bottom of the seas.

Third Assault on Dragonstone: Perhaps hoping to score a key victory despite the risks, King Aegon launched his new sellsword fleet towards Dragonstone, thus creating the second stage of the naval campaign. The Baratheon fleet engaged the sellswords after the Driftmark victory in a vicious battle, solved only by the arrival of the Lannister sellsword fleet (originally sent towards Driftmark). Having to fight in both sides the sellswords were expelled, retreating towards Blackwater Bay. Casualties were high among the Lannister sellswords, forcing them to stay at Dragonstone for the rest of the turn.

Aegon's March on the Crownlands: The fight for the Crownlands continued to be a vicious one, both sides having to fight outlaws besides their common enemies. Ser Rolland Storm was commanded to withdraw given the disadvantages, but in his retreat towards Antlers he found Lord Rowan's small host, which was destroyed (and its Lord killed) in a series of skirmishes. King Aegon quickly seized Duskendale and marched North to meet Storm. The game of cat and mouse resulted in heavy losses at the Baratheon rearguard, but Storm managed to get outside Lord Harroway's Town after the end of the second battle of Harrenhal, King Aegon holding Antlers.

Battles of Harrenhal (First and Second)Sad The gods demanded blood, and it was time for their tribute. Royce and the Knights of the Vale made the first move, having the main army take Harrenhal in which has known to be the first battle of Harrenhal. The sparrows put a good fight, but mysterious killings (included that of a septa later identified as Lady Tyrene Sand) undermined their position and allowed Lord Royce to take the castle while Lord Nestor Royce and his army took High Heart as a defensive position. Lord Tarly intercepted a missive from Lord Royce to Lord Edmure, promting him to put him in chains and destroy the few Tully loyalist forces in the area. Under orders to attack, Lord Tarly marched towards Harrenhal.

The first stop was at the defensive position of High Heart, which Tarly had to take to secure his flank. Lord Royce had a three to one disadvantage, yet an excellent position for a defense. Both armies were then locked in several assaults and skirmishes through an entire week, Lord Tarly forcing the Valemen into exhaustion by several assaults. In the end Lord Nestor was forced to leave the position and withdraw towards Harrenhal, allowing Lord Tarly to press on despite heavy losses. Lord Tarly's march destroyed any chance of the Valemen to march in the Crownlands as planned, and then the time came for both armies to fight the so called Second Battle of Harrenhal, the largest battle since the Blackwater.

The first day was fought in a battle outside Harrenhal, started when Ser Lyn Corbray rushed with the Vale vanguard and forced both commanders to send reinforcements despite not being ready. The battle raged across the day while the Lords tried to regain command in the confusion, and by nightfall both armies had to disengage, the Vale being left in position of the field. The second day was the decisive one as Tarly pressed an organized attack, inflicting heavy damage and pressure into the Vale army. The key moment came at the cavalry charge of Lord Hunter became an spectacular failure, allowing Tarly to smash the left flank and put the Vale army into panic. Hampered by his losses Tarly was forced to stop at Harrenhal and consolidate his position, Royce and his battered men returning to Lord Harroway's Town.
.

Euron Greyjoy's v. the World:

King Euron's Campaign: Despite the protests and the challenges of more than one captain, King Euron ordered a withdrawal from the Westerlands, leaving many traps aside that wounded dozens of Lannister men. Having left a major region for the second time discontent grows within the Ironborn ranks, and it is rumoured King Euron will take his personal fleet for a new campaign very soon.

The downfall of the Dreadfort

Despite thoughts on the contrary, the Dreadfort finally fell to the Stark loyalists after a long (yet still shorter than expected) siege, mostly due to the low morale and the disappearance of Lord Bolton. Castellan Locke was hanged and the fortress surrendered. Following King Stannis's commands, Lord Stark (who shocked the North by revealing Lady Arya Stark's return) burnt down the entire fortress. It has been said that bards are already competing to write a counterpart to "The Rains of Castamere". So far, Perkin the Bard's "The North Remembers" seems the most appealing song.

The Battle of the Sea of Lys:

Departing Volantis after having spent the past months organizing a council to rule the city and its colonies, Queen Daenerys was forced to fight back another fleet from the Free Cities, an unprecedented joint effort by Lys, Myr and Tyrosh to keep her back. Both sides engaged in battle outside Lys, and the slaver fleet held the initial advantage due to numbers and heavy losses within the freedmen. Alas, Groleo and Asha Greyjoy were able to fight back the assault long enough for the Targaryen dragons to charge at the enemy fleet, slowly burning down the rearguard to prevent an escape. After three to four different battles, the islands that form Lys are surrounded by Daenerys's forces, the coalition breaking up after the defeat. It is believed that this battle will probably cause slave uprisings through the Narrow Sea, and it might dry up the well of sellswords for Westerosi Lords and Claimants.

Player Crisis:

Aegon Targaryen:
-Prestige: 7/10
-Gold: 115.000 GD
-Legitimacy: 7/10

-King Aegon, with the withdrawal of House Martell as an active player you are now granted command over the Dornish armies and commanders, but not all the assets of Dorne.

-Progress is being made in Summerhal in terms of its reconstruction, and it will take five to ten years to have in back to its former glory. The process could be significantly reduced, but it would require a major investment for the crown.

-Magister Illyrio has crossed the Narrow Sea from Pentos, stating his joy at being a part of your court. He warns of the importance of containing Daenerys somehow, and he has expressed that he would be honored if you were to grant him powers over the finances of the realm.

-Tragedy strikes on the Narrow Sea as the Ironborn forces have launched a surprise assault, capturing Lord Velaryon and Lady Sand as they crossed the sea. Lady Brienne is nowhere to be seen, as she never took the ship on the first place.

Stannis Baratheon:
-Prestige: 8/10 .
-Gold: 340.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 7/10.

-Gulltown is now facing a lot of activity as your new capital, and following your arrangements with the Iron Bank the banker Tycho Nestoris has been sent to coordinate with the crown and follow the investments.

-Nestoris reports that Braavos will try to direct more of its trade to Gulltown and pressure Pentos to do the same, but that hiring sellswords will not be possible due to the lack of companies and the outright panic created by Daenerys's invasion.

-While your marriage to Selyse the marriage was not often, erm, active, some believe that Queen Ysilla might be the last chance for a male Baratheon heir, unless Edric Storm was to be brought back or executed, as Melisandre insists.

-It is with some reluctance that the new men of the Crown report that there is some degree of intrigue in Gulltown. With the late Lord Baelish serving in the city for a long time it is feared that his former agents still rule the harbor, and it rumoured House Arryn of Gulltown might have served as an accomplice of Baelish's unorthodox financial methods.

Euron Greyjoy:
-Prestige: 5/10.
-Gold: 610.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 6/10.

-The sellsword fleet and your personal fleet have finally joined forced, and your captains report that the strength is there to strike. In the meantime, ravens from the Iron Islands report that both Aeron and Victarion have been up to strange moves, and some believe your position might not be safe back there. What will you do?

Willas Tyrell:
-Prestige: 8/10.
-Gold: 2.300.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 8/10.

-So far the idea of the Green cloaks has been quite effective in terms of Highgarden, but it has been hard to introduce them in Oldtown due to the High Septon winning more and more power in the city and House Hightower being almost powerless due to their heavy manpower losses.

-The death of Lord Rowan at Antlers has caused another crisis with the sparrows, as young Denys Rowan was at Highgarden when news of Lord Mathis's death arrived. The sparrows have taken control of several towns and minor keeps in the area near Goldengrove, claiming them for the faith. Most of our advisers ask you to take decisive action.

Yohn Royce:
-Prestige: 6/10.
-Gold: 430.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 9/10.

-The past defeats have hurt your prestige, but the Knights of the Vale are ready for another round as the armies recover their strength. Likewise, your moves regarding Gulltown seem to have been a success in improving the security of the city, but as more and more people arrive to the city further measures will have to be enacted.

-A report from the Vale indicates that the clans have started to lead daring raids in the absence of the main army, posing a threat to supply lines. How will you react to this?

Tyrion Lannister:
-Prestige: 7/10.
-Gold: 2.800.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 8/10.

-The Ironborn have left the Westerlands to the relief of your Lords, but most of the coastal areas are devastated and filled with booby traps. Action is needed on this front.

-The sparrows continue to enter the south of the region to control towns and expand their influence. The High Septon has been successful in many aspects, but he warns that force might have to be used soon, especially with the rise of the New Faith in Goldengrove.

-Your wife Sansa has been confirmed as being a prisoner in Storm's End, and there are serious concerns about her fate should Aegon win the war against Stannis. What will you do regarding her?

Aurane Velaryon:
-Prestige: 4/10.
-Gold: 190.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 4/10.

-On the bright side, the coffers of Driftmark are full and Qyburn reports that he has indeed found something of value. On the bright side, most of your fleet is gone and so is little Lord Velaryon, captured by the Ironborn at the Narrow Sea. This leaves you as the sole Lord of Driftmark, but trapped between two Kings and with the unease of the garrison growing you will have to be bold to survive this complex situation.

Ramsay Bolton:
-Prestige: 1/10.
-Gold: 20.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 0/10.

-They are near, and you know it. Most of the men have dispersed as you ride with Reek and your unnamed son, and as the trace of the wildlings disappears Reek swears that something lies beyond the forest. Either way, both of you will soon see what truly lies beyond the wall.

Early to Mid 301 AL: Aftermath:

The Stag v. the Dragon:

March on Riverrun: Taking full advantage of the victory at the Twins and with the Targaryen loyalists leaving their positions at Seagard and the center of the Riverlands, the Baratheon allies launched their own troops in a march to reach Riverrun and thus liberate most of the region. Lord Coldwater and his Arryn/Stark army got the support of many Riverlanders and had an easy trip, but Lannister forces under Ser Addam Marbrand and Ser Balon Swann have been constantly attacked by hostile Riverlanders, halting their advance. In the end, Coldwater's vanguard has reached Riverrun to prepare for a siege, the Lannister men still a few days outside the castle.

Assault on Runestone: Refusing to give up on naval strikes, King Aegon was finally able to score a coup at sea by having his fleet bypass the enemy at Dragonstone and take full advantage of the Baratheon focus on the Bay of Crabs to deploy their forces at Runestone, the seat of Lord Royce. A fierce fight with the garrison resulted on most of the town and castle being burnt to the ground, the Targaryens taking as much plunder as they could.

Fall of Stonehelm: While unable to join in the fray at the Crownlands due to the distance, the Dornish Army of Harmen Uller were able to attack Stonehelm in a vicious battle, resulting in the death of Lord Swann and the fall of a key castle to the Targaryens, their hold on the Stormlands more and more secure as time goes by.

Goldegrove Campaign: The tense situation at Goldengrove had been a source of concern for the Reach given the example it set and the potential for the Sparrows winning control of more towns, but the end would be an unexpected one. Negotiations with the Sparrows were proving tense as they were unwilling to leave the area, and the situation would only end when Lannister forces launched a full scale operation into Goldengrove, seizing most of House Rowan's lands after fierce engagements with the Sparrows yet failing to reach the main castle due to the distance.

Battle of Maidenpool: The time had come for the key battle for the control of the Crownlands, and ironically it started when both Lord Royce and King Aegon chose the same targets, bringing both their armies towards Maidenpool to finally secure the castle. It fell onto King Aegon to seize the terrain, and it was to his shock that the Arryns arrived the day after that. With numbers preventing Aegon from taking the initiative it fell to Lyn Corbray to lead a large force against him while Lord Royce kept most of his men under reserve.

That day's engagement was surprisingly bloody as both sides retreated and advanced as it was required of them, and despite the numbers King Aegon managed to hold his ground and force a stalemate by nightfall. The Targaryens held the enemy back, but losses were high and several captains of the Golden Company had met their end. The second day began with the arrival of reinforcements, as Anders Yronwood the Bloodroyal got the tired Dornish force to secure Aegon's flanks, putting both armies at a somewhat similar level. The assaults that day grew even more fierce, Nestor Royce meeting his end at the hands of Lord Yronwood. But in the end the Dornishmen had just been in a forced march and Ser Rolland Storm's mad charge was enough to break through the Targaryen lines. It was night that came to the help of the Dragons as they managed to retreat in some order, but losses had been extremely high for them.

In the end the following days would have to decide the final outcome mostly via a battle of attrition, since the timely arrival of reinforcements by the Baratheon and Lannister sellsword armies put the Stags with a massive superiority in numbers, especially with Lord Tarly's army being unable to take any part in the battle. King Aegon and Lord Yronwood would live to fight another day by eventually reaching Rosby, but most of their forces had been crushed and for the first time during the war, Stannis's forces held the advantage in numbers.
.

Euron Greyjoy's v. the World:

Sack of Evenfall Hall: To the shock of the garrison and the few Stormlords sworn to Aegon, a small raiding fleet with the Greyjoy sigil launched a daring raid to Evenfall Hall, sacking the castle and killing the small garrison. Lord Tarth was at Storm's End and thus he survived, but House Tarth has lost most of its possessions.

Assault on Ten Towers: Abandoning the Riverlands once and for all the Hightower Fleet took its remaining forces to an attack on the Iron Islands, striking at the seat of House Harlaw, Ten Towers. The Targaryen forces achieved initial success by capturing the castle, having Lord Rodrik Harlaw killed and capturing Lady Alannys, yet the expedition would result in disaster after Prince Victarion led his large force and smashed the remnants of the Hightowers. Such a move as to save his life, as two mysterious vessels filled with a strange substance struck at Pyke a few days ago, severely damaging the castle and destroying a good part of the Greyjoy treasury.

The Fall of Lys:

Forced to fight yet another series of landings, Daenerys's forces repeated the strategy used at Volantis and took advantage of the slave uprisings to break through the defenses of Lys, an event described through the remaining Free Cities as the "revolt of the bed-warmers". This new victory puts Daenerys closer to her goal, as her forces will be able to strike at Dorne, the Stepstones or Myr pretty soon.

Mid 301 AL: Turn Nine:

(Forgive me for being so blunt and brief, but most of the current situations are military ones or are based in contexts with little book info, hence why the turns grow more simple for the time being)

General View:

Aegon has lost the first round against Stannis, but the war is still undecided as virtually of the Great Houses have backed a claimant. And yet, bigger threats lie in Essos, and north of the Wall...

Updated Cast:

Aegon Targaryen, King in the South (dkrolga)
Stannis Baratheon, King in the North, Vale and Westerlands (Dereich)
Euron Greyjoy, King of the Iron Islands (Talleyrand)
Daenerys Targaryen, Dragondlady of Volantis (Fingerbones)
Culrikhan, formerly Ramsay Bolton, Former Lord of the Dreadfort (Mr. X)
Willas Tyrell, Lord of Highgarden (Spamage)
Yohn Royce, Lord of Runestone and Lord Regent of the Vale (Badgate)
Tyrion Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock and Maester of Coin (leonardothered)
Aurane Velaryon, Admiral of Blackwater Bay and Lord Regent of Driftmark (Garlan Gunter)

Player Crisis:

Aegon Targaryen:
-Prestige: 5/10
-Gold: 200.000 GD
-Legitimacy: 6/10

-The situation is grim as you reach Rosby. Your forces have been crushed in battle and most of the Golden Company's force is now spent, and your commanders press you to fall back to prevent another loss. And yet there is still hope to be found in the Tyrells, with Lord Tarly's large and undefeated force still in the Riverlands. Can you recover from this setback and push Stannis back?

-Large numbers of Sparrows now enter the Stormlands following their surges across the South of Westeros, thus making this complicated for your future royal demesne. Will you allow them to enter unmolested?

Stannis Baratheon:
-Prestige: 9/10 .
-Gold: 300.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 7/10.

-Despite past victories a very complicated situation arises on the Riverlands. Many have decided to rally to your banner, yet many more stand against your alliance with the hated Lannisters and refuse to have anything to do with them. How will you resolve this situation?

-With the fall of Lys Edric Storm has fallen to the Targayens, thus preventing Lord Seaworth's journey. He has expressed concern following reports that High Priest Benerro is fully behind Daenerys's, stating that he fears what Melisandre may do now.

-The cleanup of Gulltown has begun, and more and more corrupt offices are thrown out of office and sent to the cells. What should be done with them?

Euron Greyjoy:
-Prestige: 3/10.
-Gold: 550.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 5/10.

-The situation deteriorates as the Iron Islands are under attack and the discontent in your fleet grows, your men actually fearful of the future as you sail towards the East. The good news is that the fleet is finally near Lys, which means Daenerys and Asha are just around the corner.

Daenerys Targaryen:
-Prestige: 7/10.
-Gold: 1.000.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 4/10.

-Lys has been smashed, and now you hold the city. Thousands of slaves hail you now for giving them freedom, but you have learn in Meereen that things are more complicated than that... And so, your advisors raise the following issues:

-A new government has to be set up in Lys, either via a Council of freedmen or important figures, or by appoiting a ruler. You must also decide how to stay there, or whether to depart as soon as possible for another target now that you stand close to Westeros.

-You have ignored so far all of Aegon VI's ravens, but the closer you get the more evident it is that the issue has to be solved. What will happen with House Targaryen?

-Ser Jorah and Ser Barristan have expressed that they fear the possible reaction of Westeros to the invasion as things stand now, given the outspoken support of the Red Priests and the combination of strange allies you have gathered. Some may be trusted, some not, but your invasion will raise many questions that must be answered.

Willas Tyrell:
-Prestige: 9/10.
-Gold: 2.250.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 8/10.

-Congratulations, Lord Willas! Lady Tyrell has given birth to a boy, a new heir to Highgarden! It's up to you to name your new son.

-While the Sparrows of Goldengrove have been crushed by the Lannisters, calls for a Harrenhal crusade have been mostly ignored, leading the High Septon to virtually control Oldtown after the Hightower forces were crushed in the past operations.

-With King Aegon's defeat House Tyrell has become the strongest Targaryen vassal in light of the Dornish decline, and indeed Tarly's troops may be the remaining hope to take back the Riverlands. What should Lord Tarly do?

Yohn Royce:
-Prestige: 5/10.
-Gold: 300.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 9/10.

-It has been a good victory for House Royce, and yet the situation is bad. Not only is your brother slain in battle, but the main holdings of House Royce have been sacked by the Targaryens, weakening your House at the expense of the other Valelords and putting a stop to the plans for a new fleet.

-The raids seem to be working as the mountain clans have been repelled at several points, but the campaign is probably going to be a long one. Good work, Lord Royce!

Tyrion Lannister:
-Prestige: 7/10.
-Gold: 2.650.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 8/10.

-The situation has improved somehwat with the lack of enemy armies across the region, but concerns remain regarding the recent campaigns in the Riverlands and the Reach not only due to the Tyrell manpower, but the hate of the Riverlanders for the Lannisters, which might compromise the siege of Riverrun.

Aurane Velaryon:
-Prestige: 5/10.
-Gold: 300.000 GD.
-Legitimacy: 4/10.

-The sack of Tarth was a resounding success and your ships are now filled with gold and some of the legendary sapphires, and with no enemy fleets near it seems reaching Lys and Queen Daenerys will be a matter of a few days. Alas, communications have been cut off from Driftmark, and no word has been heard of Lord Qyburn so far.

Culrikhan:
-Prestige: 3/10.
-Legitimacy: 0/10.

-Unlike most men, you have met the Others and you have not been turned into a Wight, for you have started your second life. You have arisen as Culrikhan, a warrior in the service of the Sidhe race sworn to defend your brothers from the threat posed by Westeros and their men. Aroth, head of your clan and the current Night's King, has chosen you for some reason to serve, and yet you do not feel as one of them. Some of your humanity is still alive... the darkest part, that is.

Your fellow warrios have explained you that the only way to rise higher is to challenge and defeat the Night's King, a task that they believe is so insane nobody would ever think of it, and yet... The life of Culrikhan seems suited for a much larger role than the old Ramsay Bolton, wouldn't you agree?

Mid 301 AL: Aftermath:

Daenerys Targaryen's Invasion of Westeros:

Finally, the time had come. Seventeen years of exile was the punishment that House Targaryen had suffered under the might of the Baratheons, only for the past four to offer a chance to return. Both houses have suffered heavy losses with the deaths of Aegon and Viserys Targaryen and Robert, Renly and Joffrey Baratheon, and the last scions of their respective Houses will fight for power. Who shall be the victor now that Daenerys Targaryen and Stannis Baratheon are the last Kings left standing on Westeros?

Daenerys's Landing: After arranging for some measures of government on Lys Queen Daenerys wasted no time, quickly deploying her armies to secure key positions. Both Daenerys and Princess Asha were able to get a good part of Euron's fleet on her side thanks to the dragons, although many Ironborn ships scattered across the Summer Sea. Taking full advantage of this situation, the Ironborn Fleet and the Queen riding Drogon forced their landing at Sunspear, defended by Prince Quentyn Martell. Knowing full well he had no chance with the castle destroyed, Prince Quentyn bent the knee along with his troops, asking for mercy for his family and for his niece Visenya, daughter of the late King Aegon. It was at Sunspear that Daenerys learned that her forces were laying siege to Tyrosh.

Aurane Velaryon's Journey: Showing a skill resembling that of Corlys the Sea Snake, Lord Velaryon took on a dangerous journey through the Narrow Sea, pledging his sword to Queen Daenerys. Once in the Stepstones Lord Velaryon rallied many pirate captains to his cause and defeated others while sending ravens and fast ships across the ocean to garner all the support he could. Through bribes and influence he was able to rally both the Stepstones pirates and late King Aegon's Pentoshi mercenary fleet, and then joined forces with part of the Targaryen fleet to return where his journey began.

The Fourth Battle of Dragonstone: Just like the Targaryens concentrated their forces so did King Stannis, assembling naval forces at Dragonstone to prepare for an operation in Driftmark. While the operation would have certainly been successful, it was not to be. Lannister forces arrived on the area and landed their forces, stating a failed surprise assault that quickly turned into a massive land and sea battle. While the Baratheon forces had the upper hand in numbers, the arrival of the Velaryon fleet turned the battle into a rout, destroying the Stags. Ser Lancel Lannister and Lord Velaryon paid a high price for their actions, but Dragonstone is now under siege.

Lannister sack of the Reach: Taking full advantage of the weakness of the Tyrells on the area the Lannister army of Goldengrove launched a series of devastating raids through the North of the Reach which were similar to Tywin Lannister's sack of the Riverlands, burning several castles and keeps and crushing most of House Oakheart's strength before returning to the Westerlands via the Ocean Road.

Stannis Baratheon's Quest for the Iron Throne:

The March on the Stormlands: Taking full advantage of the melting Targaryen forces, the Baratheon armies quickly marched South to recover the Stormlands and put an end to the Targaryen loyalists on the zone, having no trouble to secure Rosby and the ruins of King's Landing. The only positive news for the Aegon loyalists were that Lord Yronwood managed to rally a good number of troops to the safety of Storm's End, causing major damage to the roads and the Wendwater bridges to slow down the Vale and Stormlands armies. Despite losing track of Yronwood, Lord Royce, Ser Rolland Storm and Ser Justin Massey launched simultaneous attacks on the Crownlands and Stormlands, quickly taking several fortresses back. As of now, the Baratheon loyalists have been stopped at the Kingswood, the Wendwater river and Haystack Hall.

The Purge of the Mockingbird: After weeks of intrigue and deception on Gulltown, forces loyal to Lord Royce and King Stannis have finally purged most of the allies of the late Lord Baelish, who were a major source of corruption through the temporary capital of the Baratheon realms. Lady Waynwood and the City Watch have captured most of the officers, who have chosen the Wall to save themselves from death.

Edmure Tully's return: Months of constant humilliations have apparently ended for Edmure Tully, for he has been freed after the Riverrun Garrison gave up the castle to the forces of Lord Coldwater. Despite his misgivings on Jon Stark given that both Sansa and Arya were alive, Lord Tully accepted to bend the knee, being fully reinstated as Lord Paramount of the Riverlands along with his wife Lady Jeyne, and his son, Lord Edmyn. As a result most of the Riverlords have joined their liege lord, securing most of the Riverlands save for the areas controlled by the outlaws.

The Sparrow Rebellion:

The center of all religious troubles was Oldtown with the fall of Harrenhal, and the conflict between the Hightowers and the High Septon was more and more violent as time went by. Lord Tyrell's oportune measures allowed some peace to be establishes, but the news of King Aegon's death and the betrayal of House Tyrell ended any chance of peace. The Sparrows had lost their King, and in anger they formally rose through the Stormlands, Riverlands and the Reach. Several towns have been lost to the religious movement, and in Oldtown forces loyal to the High Septon assaulted and killed Lord Hightower and several of his family members on a non-planned assault. As a result, Tyrell forces are now besieging Oldtown.

Chaos at Storm's End:

The death of King Aegon brought massive levels of chaos at his capital, forcing great changes at court. The first to leave were the Reach and Stormlander Lords like Lord Meadows, Lord Tarth and Lord Peake, followed by several knights and towns that outright changes sides to the Baratheons. Total collapse was prevented thanks to Lord Varys, Prince Doran and Lord Yronwood, who restored order to court despite the loss of Sansa Stark and Myrcella Lannister. The situation of Queen Arianne and Princess Visenya is still confusing since Visenya has not been proclaied Queen and Prince Quentyn was forced to surrender, but on the bright side Ser Bonifer Hasty and the Holy Hundred have arrived to swear loyalty to Visenya.

The 999th Commander of the Night's Watch:

Following a short tenure with the Watch weakened and growing tensions with the Baratheon forces, Lord Commander Denys Mallister passed away of old age days after signing an arrangement with Warden of the North Jon Stark, forcing another election. Cotter Pyke entered as the clear frontrunner, but the ranks of the Watch had been filled with Westerosi who either hated the Ironborn or had greater respect for a noble Commander, and thus it was Lord Jon Connington who emerged as the winner. Unaware of the recent events down south, Lord Commander Connington has a hard task ahead.
